Anyone have any tips on how to keep fruit and veg fresh. We seem to be wasting a lot. Thanks x

No personal tips but it's the same in our house. I saw special bags in Lakeland for keeping different veggies fresh. They weren't too dear so maybe worth a go? Xx

Its the same in our house, I just try and meal plan so I know what veg i'll need in that week and that way i'm not wasting unwanted veg, if I know its for later in the week i'll go round the corner so I can get it fresh as we have a fruit and veg shop nearby xx

erm... always take veg out of the bag/wrapping since that makes moisture/condensation which makes it goes mouldy quicker. And i always check what veg is in the fridge a couple of times a week and if something doesn't look like it's going to last, i use that before other stuff.

take it out the bags it comes in and keep it in the fridge :)

if you think your not going to use it freeze it, we have an allotment so get lats ready at the same time so we freeze quite a lot of ours

Sme veg like dark places like potatoes so stories g them in a cupboard is better than a fridge.
Tomatoes like from temp
Mushrooms..... Remove cling film or poke a hole in.

unwashed greens, separate leaves and bathe them in several changes of icy cold water with a bit of vinegar or lemon juice to add crispness. Let the dirt and grit sink to the bottom. Spin the leaves dry and if you’re not using the leaves immediately, air dry them on a paper towel. Then, wrap and store the leaves in a clean, perforated plastic bag in the crisper section of your refrigerator.
