Hi i wanted to give Raisin a Russian middle name as my family heritage is Russian. I found Titania on a Russian name site, and love it especially with its midsummer nights dream, fairy queen conection. I have since googled in and some sites say it is Greek, any thoughts?

Thanks

Not sure about that version but I used to know someone called Tatiana so thought I'd suggest that as it is similar, just in case it appealled.

Thanks yeah that was an option was she Russian?

Thanks i found Titania off a site that said it was russian :dohh:

All the names sites I use say it is of the Greek origin, sorry, lol.

I think it's Greek. But there are a lot of names popular in Russia with either Greek or Latin origin, like Marina, Irina, Julia, Tamara, Tatiana, Katia, Margarita etc. Lots of lovely classic names to choose from. Titania sounds pretty unusual, but cool - I dig Shakespeare names...

Tatiana is definitely Russian - My aunty Svetlana is Russian (well Azerbaijani but its old Russia) and her maid of honour was Tatiana.

Have to say - Katya is one of my fave Russian names.

Think it is greek, coming from the word Titan.

I LOVE Russian names, two of my daughters have gorgeous Russian names.

I ove Kaja (Kaya) and Natasa/Natalija,Anastasija ..

oh forgot to add Masha, other twin was supossed to be called that but i had ti give in and let him choose atleast one name lol so she's Tara now.

Tatiana (Tania - short) is Russian, and Titania is greek and means "giant".
Here are couple Russian girls names starting on T: Tamila/Tomila, Taisia, Tamara. I have Russian roots so I know a lot of Russian names :winkwink::flower:
