TMI: Pregnancy cures warts?!?

Okay, I know warts are gross but I can't find anything on Google about this! I had a small wart on my hand that started in May and I've had a plantar wart on my foot that I've had for YEARS (nothing would get rid of it!). I noticed a few weeks after getting pregnant that the wart on my hand was pretty much gone (definitely gone now) and I looked at the bottom of my foot today and the plantar is gone too!! Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think they'll come back or are gone for good? Why would pregnancy cure warts?!? I'm just baffled Any thoughts??

I know its old but just found this, I had a horrible stubborn one on my foot that cleared up when I was pregnant and its never come back, my hard skin caluses also healed

I've had one on my thumb for years and since I got pregnant it has stated healing, it's just a bit of smooth skin now so I wonder if this is true!

Haha! Better late than never! Glad I'm not alone. They never did come back and I haven't had any new ones, either! I'm not complaining... ;-) its just a little strange! Thanks for replying

I had this too! A few warty things on my hand and when I got pregnant with dd they went away!

Very interesting. I have one on my thumb and although its definitely still there it does seem a little bit smaller. Hopefully its going away!

I had one on my foot for quite some time that I could not shift. Then when I was pregnant with ds1 it went away and has never returned.
Ds1 will be 5 soon. Maybe its all the hormones kills them off.

I have no warts now during pregnancy, but...on the subject of stubborn warts. I had one on my pinky finger for ages, and my phobia of it was probably comical. Nothing would get rid of it...I had nightmares of my entire arm rotting internally starting at the wart. In the end it took months of soaking it for hours in vinegar, then cutting off as much softened wart as I could until it bled, then freezing it with wart remover freezy stuff. Over and over...it's been years now, and I still give my finger the evil eye sometimes wondering if it will come back. I'd have gotten pregnant years ago if I knew it was that easy

WEIRD!! I read this and thought no way.. I have had a small wart on my knee for like 2 years.. Just pulled my pant leg up to check it out, and it has gotten a lot smaller! Hmm

I know it seems crazy!! But I seriously just experienced the same thing! Had a bunch of planters warts that I got from a botched pedicure, like 5 years ago!! It has totally caught me off guard, but they have all died and are slowly flaking off like dead skin!!! I'm soo excited!!

I have had one on the bottom of my big toe for years because I stepped on some broken glass and ended up with a wart where the cut was. It took me a long time to figure out what it was and I tried treating it but it never worked. I noticed a couple months ago that it seemed to be flaking off, and the pain was subsiding, I forgot about it (thanks pregnancy brain lol) and because of this thread I just looked at the bottom of my foot and it is completely gone, all I can see is a scar where it used to be but it is healed. Amazing, thanks baby!

i had one on my finger for YEARS and nothing could get rid of it. Thankfully it was the same color as my hand and didn't stand out in that way. Couple months after being pregnant it was gone pretty much overnight and hasn't come back! I'm still BF'ing so curious to see if it stays away once DS is weaned.
