I've been eyeing up the Solly baby wraps ever since I've heard of them.. the thing is they're a bit $.
I've also heard of the Moby wrap but apparently they're not as soft.
Have you used a baby wrap before? Do you recommend it or maybe you used it once and didn't care for it... please share :)

I've got a Moby and a woven wrap and used both extensively.they're so handy! It might take a few goes to get used to it but if you persevere you won't regret it.

Also, most wraps hold their value pretty well and sell well second hand (there's loads of fb selling groups) so you could buy secondhand and then sell on secondhand and make your money back again

I've looked on ebay, didn't ththink to check FB. Thanks!! :)

Can't wait to wear this baby, going to start with a close caboo stretchy then move on to buckles (rose and rebellion, connecta, ones that hold baby in the correct hip shape)

O gosh!!!! I LOVE all my wraps and carriers, I literally have 8 :haha: I couldn't live without them when dd was little and I'm SO sad she won't sit in it now, but I CAN'T wait to wear new baby!!!!! I say it's totally 100% worth it!!!!!!!!

I went straight for a buckle carrier so I use a lillebaby for DS and he still can go in it and I will use it for DD when she arrives (it can be used from newborn) I have thought about a wrap but I don't think I have the patience for one

I am considering getting a sling type carrier tho as thought maybe it would be quicker to use around the house etc??

Personally, i found the boba wrap to be absolutely amazing. Its super comfy and very supportive of my little bean when shes in it. I have a buckle carrier too but recently picked up a boba wrap and i wish id done it with my first instead!

I have a moby, boba, meitai, bitybean, girasol, tula, k'tan, and an ergo... honestly many of those are the same or very similar.. the ones I used the absolute most were my moby and boba, meitai and bitybean ... the bitybean is so thin and light and easily carried in a little pouch and waterproof for the pool which I absolutely loved with being here in texas!!!!

I'm a member of a could of UK sling selling groups on fb but maybe someone could recommend some US ones for you?

As far as I've searched we didn't have anything around like that.. I had to go to a special baby boutique that carried cloth diapers and stuff but even they only had 3 types of carriers

I think most sell online rather than in stores. That's certainly the case in the UK. The choice in stores is very poor and mostly non-ergonomic buckle carriers.

Thanks everyone! I found a fb group and scouring ebay for a beginner newborn wrap :)

I have 2 carriers right now but plan on getting a 3rd. I have a Maya Ring Sling and a Mei Tai, I've both used them daily, with both my children. They are comfortable and hold up. They are strong enough to carry babies into toddlerhood, so I'd definitely say they are worth the money, especially if you plan on having more children.

PinkPassion, I have had my eye on the Girasol wraps, they have some of the most beautiful wraps I've ever seen. I really want to buy a rainbow colored wrap for my rainbow baby!

They really do!!!!! Sadly I rarely use mine but it's so soft!!!

Honestly the sling was my best baby purchase and definetly not a waste of money as I use it at least once every day. I started with a mei tai but moved onto woven wraps and I love them. Also have a connecta for quick trips that lives in the car.

Also like pp said they hold their value really well. I bought a wrap of a fb site second hand, used it for 9 months and then sold it for the same price!

I had a wrap one with DS but found due to injuries it wasn't comfty. However I love my ring sling esp when he hit toddler stage, I'm going to buy a mai tei this time for early stages. Many of the ones sold in shops are bad for hip alignment, definitely better to look online :).

so what ring slings are the best out there... I've never used one because I've always been scared a little bitty would fall out (ignorance at it's best :haha:) but I'd love to get one for my toddler and even possibly for new baby.. although don't think I'll put down my moby anytime soon after baby is born!! I just love it so much!!!

I had a moby when ds was small and it was like magic sleepy dust. I would highly recommend it. We graduated on to a maitei but it wasn't too supporting when he got bigger so I have a lillebaby for this one.

they have so many videos on youtube on how to use certain carriers and all the different carries you can try, and how to do them. It's brilliant, and I love referring to the videos for good reference and quick learning :flower:

I loved my soft wrap but inhad a liberty wrap From eBay which was much cheaper than a moby
