To Blood Test or Not to Blood Test...

That is the question!
I was expecting my period on the 14th of March and got 2-3 days of light, brown discharge instead. Very out of the ordinary for me- my cycle has been clockwork and textbook for several years now, just a long cycle. I took a pregnancy test after the discharge cleared and got a negative result. On March 31st, I got a similar brown discharge. Clearish with (TMI- I apologize!) brown flecks. Called my OBGYN today but did not get a return call. My husband wants me to stop by a clinic and get a blood test done.

Other symptoms- headaches, bloating and nausea, extreme hunger followed by nausea, a few short bouts of dizziness, and the discharge of course

Any advice or words of wisdom? All googling points to pregnancy since there is no itching, swelling, odor, etc.

My OBGYN office finally called back and the nurse told me I am more than likely pregnant- that she didn't see a positive herself with her first pregnancy for a few weeks after her missed period. She said to call back when I get a positive test So I guess I'll spend a few more days waiting! Glad she wasn't alarmed or anything. I was worried it would be some kind of PCOS or endometriosis, both of my sisters have uterus issues.
Still no BFP for confirmation, though!
