Do you worry they got it wrong?

I had a private gender scan with babybond at 16 weeks whom said girl and then had my 20 week scan at 20+2 and she said she 'thinks girl' (I didnt tell her that I'd had a private scan lol) and then I had to go back at 21w+4 because they couldnt get all the heart measurements in 1st scan and she said she couldnt see boys bits so must be a girl.... so thats 3 scans that say girl.. and I've already done lots of girly shopping but I still have that little worry in the back of my mind!

Yup but I think mine is irrational tbh and only really set in once I purchased something pink

Sonographer was 100% girl no hesitation at all and I have felt she was a girl all along without any doubt but now it all seems a bit like surely I am not that lucky

I think it's normal to have that worry in the back of your mind, At my 20 weeks scan she said she was 98% sure and she checked a few times and was pretty convinced we were having a girl but every time I do buy something pink I have that little feeling in the back of my mind thinking what happens it she comes out a boy haha

I think it's common to have that feeling :)

That's understandable. I've never had a girl but from what I see on scan pics, girl bits are a lot harder to spot than boy bits. I'm pretty sure you're having a girl based on what you've said, but I know you want to be absolutely sure. Do you have any other scans coming up? I get regular scans with my obstetrician and she's constantly confirming the 'boyness' I have in there.

Definitely normal to worry I had a scan at 16, 20 and 23 weeks who all said girl but I still worry after buying all girl clothes and decorating her nursery that she may turn into a boy lol

I worry too. I have had three scans where they looked for gender (14+2, 16+6 and 20+2) which all guessed girl but none have been massively confident and they all told me not to buy pink based on their guess as they weren't 100%, but I did see three definite lines at the 16w scan. I also saw a lack if boy parts at all scans so I'm sure it is right but still panicking just incase!

I think always going be that bit of worry but i dont think its worth proper worrying over it. Hearing boy after 3 girls is like WOW going be that bit doubt until we see on big day but im going enjoy shopping just keep proof just incase haha

I was told girl at my 16 week gender scan but I was in that much shock I had to start googling potty shots to check what we saw really was a girl. I've already started buying pink things now so just need them to say girl at my 20 week scan then I think I'll stop worrying xx

I was nervous too but when my DR looked at her scan he specifically said some ppl think they just guess if they don't see boy parts but you can definatley see the girl parts :) so then I was able to relax! (We really wanted a girl as we have two boys already!) I think 3 scans all saying girl is a pretty safe guess ur lo is a little girl! Congrats!!!

Yep.. I just had an early 16 week gender scan and was confirmed Boy.. i wanted a boy so badly that I am scared I will get to 20 week scan they will tell me boy.. so I've booked myself in for another Gender Scan =) xx

Yeah sonographer at my appointment said. Definitely boy, look there's his bits!! But even so I still wonder if they made a mistake!

I have my moments but mostly, no I don't! We have a picture of the '3 lines', it's clear as day. I trust the technician not to guess. She initially said she had an inkling but wanted to make sure and then she pointed out the girl bits. This pregnancy has been so different to my boys and the morning sickness is only just easing off slightly, so it all makes sense to me.

^^^ This see I KNOW I am having a girl I have always thought so and I am not sure why I am second guessing as the sonographer was adamant and with my son I clearly saw boy bits! you couldn't miss them :haha: to the point the sonographer made us say it not her as no mistaking! This time she went over the girly bits clearly so I AM HAVING A GIRL

Right I feel better now no more wobbles :haha:

I was the same way. We had an ultrasound done at 18 weeks and they said boy, but my husband and I were still nervous. Had another ultrasound around 25 weeks and was still a boy and then we had a 4D ultrasound last Tuesday and we could see all of his goods! I did tons of boy clothes shopping and I was always thinking about what would happen if they were wrong. There's no mistaking him for a girl now lol. :haha:

I saw the 3 lines on the screen at my private scan and I'm pretty sure I saw the lines again on the 1st 20 week scan, and the sonographer at my private scan said you don't get the lines at all with boys.. so I guess I should relax lol, I have gone girl mad after telling myself I wouldnt haha x

At my 20w scan yesterday the sonographer was hinting it could be a girl but couldnt be 100% sure and we will have another scan in 2 weeks. She said during that she keeps saying it will be a girl and it turns out later its a boy!!! That did not feel me with confidence lol!!

We still feel like this. Sonograher seemed certain she was a girl at 20 weeks, & we haven't had any other scans to confirm the gender, but I'm still so worried after buying all these gorgeous outfits I'll give birth & it'll be a boy lol. I had a dream last night we had a private scan at 25 weeks and they said its a boy despite our 20 week scan! Woke up in a sweat worried about all the outfits lol.

I was told at 13 weeks that it was too early to day for sure, but it was definitely a girl.
I tried not to take that as guaranteed as it was so early but at 20 weeks they said there was no doubt it was a girl and showed a very detailed view of her privates. Since then I've felt very sure. It's been confirmed girl twice since and again they were totally certain so I really can't believe they got it wrong.

If what I saw turned out to be a girl, I would be very concerned that something was wrong with her!

It's a lot easier to be sure about a boy.

Omg yes especially since my girl is stubborn and barely shows her goods. At 19 week ultrasound the tech wasn't my favorite so I was worried she just guessed because baby girl was being difficult but when she showed her again I didn't see boy parts so I'm pretty sure it's all girl in here :p I was scared after my baby shower hanging up her cute clothes I don't want to have to return lol
