Or on the side or wherever, how do you heat your bottles back up again quickly?

I make most of my bottles fresh - well a couple of hours before needed and just leave out on the side. By the time LO wants it it is the right temperature. But if i did make some up for night time what would be the quickest way to heat them up again? I think is it really that much quicker to make them up already than to make them fresh in the night?

Also i make one up for night time and put it in a tommee tippee insulated thermal bag, do you think this is ok? If LO wakes for a second feed during the night we usually make it fresh then.

I used to use a thermal bag at night too. My LO no longer has nights feeds, I make them in advance and store in the fridge and heat in the microwave. As long as you give it a good shake I've always found it to be fine x

I microwave as well ... just make sure it's well shaken when it comes out to avoid hot spots

Mind you it'll be a thing of the past for night feeds now - I had the kids last night and Taylor finally slept through :happydance::happydance: so the bottle in the fridge wasn't needed - sheer luxury! :cloud9:

its only ok if its still used within 2 hours of making. If that is not the case then you should pre make it properly and store in the fridge and heat as needed.

Oh i thought you could store them in the bags for about 5 hrs? Otherwise what is the point of them really lol? I can leave a bottle on the side for 2 hrs and it be the right temperature.

you can store them in the bags there designed to keep them warm, its 2 hours out of a bag i was told

Yeah thats what i thought too. I keep them in the bags for hours sometimes during the night lol.

My daughter has 6 oz bottles, I fill the bottles with 6oz, when she needs a bottle I boil the kettle and pour out approx 1oz and fill it with 1oz of the boiling water. I then scoop in the formula. Works well for us! :)

Another way to do this is fill the bottles with 4oz cooled boiled water and then top up with 2oz boiled water when needed. Saves you the hassle of pouring out the unwanted water!

we got given a tommy tippee bottle warmer, they're about 20 quid and take about 5 mins to heat up bottles.

I'm a naughty microwaver! Haha.

Seriously, I am convinced that it is fine as long as you swirl the bottle to get rid of hot spots, and leave to sit for a minute or two.

Well tbh i'm thinking about using the microwave to heat them up, i mean for god sake its the middle of the night lol. BTW do you remove the lids/teats before microwaving or is it ok to leave them on and microwave?

I unscrew the teat and collar before putting it in :)

i use the part mix way - i take a bottle of cool boiled water up in a clean bottle (which has been refrigerated and a flask of boiled water and one of those milk powder dispensers up - then make it up as he needs it so its the perfect temp. atm doms on 4oz, so ill make 1oz hot water, add powder, give a good shake up to make sure its all mixed, then top up to 4oz with the cool water and its the perfect temp to just give it him :)
