I've been trying to make my little boy get used to the idea of having a baby in the house. I didn't think I was getting anywhere, but he stayed at my mums last night and I've just had a hilarious phone call.
Apparently, he's been telling everyone he's got a florence in his belly, and making them put their hand there to feel! Maybe I should be a little clearer she's in mummies belly and not his haha.

She also said when she was putting him in a nappy for bed, he was repeating 'wank. Cum cream'. How embarrassing! He means wipe and bum cream, but hasn't figured out how to say it properly yet. I dread to think what my poor mum was thinking hahaha.

mine really doesn't get it. he' two soon so probably too young but he doesn't even get not to climb on my tummy. He does enjoy putting lotion on the bump but i think that's just fun for him.

does your son have any dolls? I'm thinking of getting him one for his birthday.

Mine doesn't get it either keeps saying 'baby lamb' when he looks at my tummy.... I'm not quite ready to turn into a farmyard animal just yet!

He has three Mickey Mouse teddies he calls 'baba', treats them like dolls. Changes their bums, feeds them, puts them to sleep with kisses and cuddles. I tell him mummy has a baby in her belly and he says, "no, baba is there".

I'm going to get him a pretend bottle and I have a spare Moses basket his babas can use when florence comes.

Hahaha I'm already a farm yard animal. Not as cute as a lamb though. He calls pigs mum. Charming!

Wee biscuit. How cute! I love when they mispronounce words too. My boy used to miss out the letter "l" a lot which led to a hysterical but very embarrassing discussion on the train one evening when he was two:
J: When we get home, I'm going to play with my clock, Mummy?
You don't have a clock, Mummy. I buy you a clock.

I am trying to explain it to my DD but she is way too young to understand. She likes to stroke my tummy, so yesterday I once again told her 'there's a bubba in there' at which point she started pulling down my trousers! I had to tell her very firmly that there's not a bubba in THERE!!

My DD keeps patting her toddler paunch and saying "baby"... I've told her only Mummy has a baby in her tummy but she's convinced she has one too. I think she'll grasp it more in a few months... she is showing lots of interest in looking after her dolls so hoping we can play Mummy changes baby, Maddie changes her baby once this one comes along!!! xx

I have always taken my girls to baby and toddler groups and when I was pregnant with dd2 (who was born when dd1 was 2.7yrs) I would always show her the tiny little babies and tell her mummy had one in her tummy and would she like a 'little baby like that?' Plus my SIL had a daughter 6 months before our youngest so we could use her baby cousin as an example too.
This time around she is a year older and already says she is so excited to meet her new sister. She is very proud to be the biggest sister and it's so sweet!

My youngest on the other hand, I still look at her and think 'you have absolutely no idea, but soon you will be a BIG sister!!'

Awww, kids are the best. Fin asks how HIS baby is and and rubs my tummy saying "my baby is in there". Mim thinks I have a baby in my booby

My daughter is the same, she keeps telling people she has a baby Harry in her tummy (one of my friends just had a baby called Harry :haha:) so cute! They'll get it when it happens!
