Anyone here got the title?
We have always grown up with dogs and while i was with oh we always talked about getting a puppy but now we arnt together i still want one because i think children and pets are fab together but Will it be too much?

I got my pup with a newborn, she was perfect. They love each other to bits... Just try it, be prepared tto give up the dog if it doesnt turn out right x

Don't get one unless you're 100% sure you can do it. I volunteer at a lot of animal shelters and SO many animals get given to us when they're 9 months-1 year because that's when they're full size but hyper like a puppy. I just don't want to see a dog suffer if you can't. Personally I think animals and kids are meant to be around each other, and I'm horribly sad I won't be able to take an animal in for a few years yet, I feel like she's really missing out.

I got our puppy in march hes 6 months old now and everyone says im crazy for having a toddler and a puppy at the same time but i love it. Apollo comes nearly everywhere with us and is perfect around small children he plays with them but doesnt jump, tolerates my LO sitting on him and giving him cuddles and kisses. Cant imagine our life without him now. I think if you feel you could handle it then do it, you wont know unless you try. x

I don't imagine I would manage with a toddler and a puppy. I think I might opt for a cat when my son is older xx
