tommee tippee bottles marked wrong!

I love my tommee tippee bottles and have been using them to give lo ebm so bought some freezer bags. I was a little confused when the bag said I had 3oz as the bottle had said 2 so I took a measuring jug out to see which was wring and its the bottles! I have been feeding my baby mk ore than I thought!

I have the same problem with my MAM bottles - if I have what I think is 6oz in the MAM bottle and put it in any other bottle it's more like 5 and a quarter. SO irritating!

I tested 3 of my TT bottles with 5oz water from a measuring jug. The two 150ml bottles I have showed this as being just over, the one 260ml I tried showed it as just under. In my case the difference isn't enough to concern me. If they are that out I think you should.email them. You never know there maybe a faulty batch or something.

US and fluid oz are different - could it be that do you think? Maybe one bottle has UK oz and the other has US?

i tried it with a 7oz measurement and it was ok. ill try the other markings later and let you know.

You could be right but my oh just checked in mls and there is still discrepancy but not as much

I might have to do this. I have been expressing using one brand and then dispensing into TT bottles as I prefer the style of them for feeding LO. I have noticed that the TT bottles say there is more milk than the other bottles say there is . I just go along with it, I have never thought to check it with a measuring jug and complaining . Good call! x

I noticed this too, I express milk and my pumps read less (in mls) than the TT bottles.

No I don't think so just check the measurements and adjust accordingly.

goodness, thats crazy.

i checked the other measurements on the bottles and they are all either slightly over or under.

i suppose its done no harm so far, but its a little worrying that they cant get it accurate.

Mine HAD a measurement for UK and US... once upon a time (see above comment about markings coming off!)
