I don't know if this is just me being daft, but I've been trying to plan my routine for bottle feeding, and I'm getting myself so confused!
I plan on making fresh feeds using cool boiled water which I'm going to keep in a thermos flask. I have bought the CTN bottles/sterilizers/powder dispensers etc, but the only thing that is baffling me is that when I sterilize the bottles in the microwave (which it says it can do 4 at a time) the minute I open to remove just 1 bottle, will the remaining bottles be unsterile as soon as I open it? It just seems pointless to me and I'm trying to decide whether or not it'd be easier just to use the cold water sterilizer as that stays sterile in the solution for 24 hours rather than have to use the microwave for every single feed.
What do you guys do if making up fresh feeds in regards to sterilizing?
Any help is appreciated because my head is just spinning now!

I'm not sure as we do our feeds differently but can you not put them in a ziplock bag or an airtight container or something? That's what we do to our sterile bottles when we are going out....(we use premade formula when we go out)

As far as I know, you'd put the bottles together with their lids on, and then the insides would stay sterile until you used them :)

I just used it a a cold water steriliser. Milton tablets are only £1.25 for 28 and you just use one a day and you need to leave the bottles etc in the solution for 15 minutes before they are sterile for use. You don't need to rinse the bottles in cooled boiled water when you take them out (years ago you did have to.)

We do this too and Ive found it much easier. You just make up the sterilising formula at the beginning of the day, dunk the bottles, spoons, dishes in and then just rinse them off when you need them as the solution lasts 24 hours. I tend not to use the microwave one now unless its urgent.

Yeah this is what I do if I am not making the feeds up immediately - the bottles insides & the covered over teat remain sterile as far as I know.

i make up 4 bottles at a time, and put them in the fridge....so im not sure!
