Why oh Why oh Why did the people who designed the Tommee Tippee electric steam steriliser make it too small to stand 6 bottles on the base over the bottle rings???:growlmad:
Every time I go to use it it REALLY winds me up that a couple of the bottles end up wedged in cos they don't really all fit!!!

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest!

I had that problem with mine! I think they designed it for standard bottles and not their own! I had Tommee Tippee bottles and a Tommee Tippee steriliser and I could only fit 5 Tommee Tippee bottles in there, but when I changed over to Avent bottles I managed to get 6 in there! xx

Also on the subject of tommee tippee does anyone else find the guage hard to see on the bottles...we used avent ones too and they are sooo much clearer, we end up using an avent one to measure the right amount!

Yes, that used to p me off too, but i've just bought some new ones and the marks are now black. Easier for me to read, and they also fascinate Erin when she's finished feeding, which distracts her from her wind!

i have that one too, you have no chance of getting 6 in, its like some cryptic puzzle that only TT must know how to do......v.annoying tho, i had heard that about it b4 i got it so i was prewarned

i have the new electic one the oval shaped one? and i get 6 bottles and the tubes for the anti colic bottles on the bottom bit??

i have this too! it drove me mad when i used the tommee tippee bottles.
i moved onto dr browns bottles because lo wasnt feeding properly and they fit perfectly in the tommee tippee steriliser.
dont see the sense in that. its stupid!!

have you tried putting the rings (the bits the teats go into) onto the white stick bit of the steraliser?

The teats and rings (assembled) fit fine in the top part, and I can squeeze 6 bottles into the bottom part, but they dont sit next to each other on the bottom cos they're too fat! It just seems so stoopid that they've designed the bottom part with built in rings to stand the bottles over, but their bottles cant fit to do this!

Email them and complain a bit. A woman at our baby group said she emailed them to complain about the measurements on the bottle being almost impossible to read and they sent her a book of vouchers.

I know that doesn't fix the problem but she said she got money off other things in their range.

To be honest though I have hated every single Tommee Tippee item we own, from the clips coming off the microwave steriliser to the see-through measuring bit on the side of the bottle, to the bottle lids being difficult to remove to the weaning dishes and freezing containers being so tiny we were only using them for a week or two before we had to get something else. I even hate the spoons because they get discoloured easily.

They are lucky I didn't email to complain with all that, they would have had to send me a small rainforest of vouchers to make up for it all.

But if you like some of the other things in their range it's worth a try to complain a bit.

I complained about their bottles and they told me to send them back for replacement of the new ones with the black writing. But I just sold them all and bought the tesco's bottles LO prefers them waaaay more!

watch the new ones with black written when you sterlise them... the ink runs! i saw a black mark on the bottle and thought it was dirty... but nope it was the ink x

I've used the black writing ones since week 6 and the ink has nver run.

Can't help eith the steriliser though i'm afraid as I ahve the cold water/micro one x

I have this one 2 find it much better has its made for the closer to nature bottles in and the anti colic bits which is fab , i had the other one and could not fit them all in abit crap really considering you would think it would be made for there bottle sxx

I agree with a previous poster, I HATE nearly everything I got that was TT and so does Brady. He hates their dummies, the bottles gave him awful wind as well as p***ing me off because you couldn't see the numbers. The powder dispensers are a rubbish design, the spout always comes off with the cap when you try and take it off and you can't get more than 7 scoops in them.

I hated the electric sterliser, the only thing I still use is the old style microwave and cold water steriliser.

ooh i have this problem. Its like a puzzle trying to fit the 6 in. I normally get oh to put them in because i get frustrated x caleb wont even suck on the tommee tippee dummiesx

 I have the same steriliser & 8 TT bottles. Completely useless how i can only get like 5 bottles in & dont even get me started on the measuring markers on the bottles, i swear one day i'm going to scald my face right off trying to get the amount right.
