My 8 month old had a febrile convulsion on Monday, the scariest thing that I've ever witnessed as a mother. Didn't even realise he was so poorly and it was due to tonsillitis.

He's on antibiotics since monday but still been running a fever which we were told to expect for a couple of days. Should the antibiotics have kicked in now and no more temps?

I would ring nhs direct or out of hours doctor for advice. I would expect the fevers to have calmed but am no expert tbh.

Call doctor ASAP. Should not be still running a temperature.
