My sisters staying with me, and is currently in bed with tonsillitis. I googled it and am freaking out now worrying about the dangerous if I caught it and the links to strep B.

Would it be best she went home? Or am I totally overreacting?

I cant comment if its dangerous but its very easy to catch.

Have you had it before?
I had it once, every time i get sore throat now i freak out incase its that again. Pain is just off the scale, i hope i never ever in my life get it again.
Paracetamol alone would never touch it, i was on 16 tablets a day for 2w. x

No not had it-sounds like I don't want to either! Must have been horrible.

I had it for the first time in my life when I was 8 weeks pregnant with this bub. I had to take a shot of antibiotics and that was the end of it. But it is very painful and if you are already having trouble eating, it certainly doesn't help at all!!! I don't know how contagious it is though...

No you dont, if someone had it in my house id be locking myself away lol i spend most days in pain, swallowing my own salvia got impossible, had to start spitting it.

You'll be fine - My daughter gets it regularly (she has to see ENT to get them taken out) but ive never caught it off of he and I use to suffer with it all the time.
