I am 5'3 133 pounds. My pre-pregnancy #2 weight was 125 (after baby 1, before I was 120). I have a 9 month old and can't lose the rest of the weight I gained--or rather I am too hungry to. I lost the normal weight at delivery (15 pounds) but not the rest. I easily eat between 2200+ calories a day. I am not gaining weight but not losing weight either. When I try to restrict what I eat I eventually end up eating the same amount. I have tried more protein, less carbs, more carbs less fat, every combination with no luck. I do some strength training and about 7 hours of cycling per week. Why am I so hungry? Even after a full, balanced meal I often feel like my stomach is empty. I drink a lot of water, easily 2 gallons a day. I am uncomfortable at this weight as it is mostly belly fat and when I am hydrated and have eaten (other than first thing in the morning) I look 4-5 months pregnant. Any ideas?

Have you looked into Slimming World?

I have a huge appetite, I can literally eat all day.

With SW, you have free foods (the list is HUGE) which you can eat as much as you want of (literally, no portion control, calorie counting etc).

I do one of the older plans which is green and red days (you can do all green, all red or mix and match).

Green days: Free foods are pasta, rice, all veg, fruit, pulses, potatoes. You can make SW chips and eat the entire lot if you wish.

Red days: Free foods are lean meat & most fruit & veg.

Free foods on both: Fat free yoghurt (MullerLights), Quark, Soy Sauce, Fat free salad dressings, herbs, spices etc.

You get 4 healthy extras & 10-15 syns a day.

Have you tried more fat? Fat slows down the entire digestion process and keeps you feeling full for longer.

How about fiber? Are you getting enough? If not you can supplement with it. I like psyllium fiber, it's cheap and all natural.

Worrying less about how much I was eating and worrying more about what types of food I was eating was what helped me lose that post baby weight. I moved almost completely away from processed foods and nearly elusively to whole foods. I cooked a lot of my own meals because much of the stuff in the grocery store wasn't helping me.

I know it's a struggle but you can do it.

That sounds great but I live in the U.S. I don't think we have that here. Does it work?

I do eat fat, coconut oil, olive oil, almond butter. Lots of fiber bread and cereal and I tired supplements (fiber) did not help. It was like my body knew it wasn't really food.
I'm glad you were able to do it with such sensible means.

Have you discussed it with a doctor yet to see if maybe there's an underlying condition causing it?

If you do the same exercises every week, your body may be used to it so it's not as effective anymore. Try different exercises for a week or two and see if that helps. :flower: It's usually enough to shake me out of a plateau!

Maybe try a lifestyle where you can eat unlimited portions !

Raw til 4 is good if you like to eat lots of food. In fact youre encouraged to eat loads !

I think slimming world runs in a few states. They also do an online membership. I am currently doing it and lost 21lb a few years ago on it and I love my food.
