Too unusual?

I like the one syllable thing. Jane and Rose sound romantically classic. If you like "Bay", I can see it as a middle name.
 
I like Rose and Bay as separate names. Rose Bay is nice. But I dislike Rosebay. Better than Rosalie though, I really dislike that name!
 
I love Rose, but not sure about Rosebay. Maybe because there's a suburb near me called Rose Bay.
 
I'm not too keen on it but I love Rose/Rosie :)
 
I quite like it! It's similar but nicer (I think) then my own name which I detest. I'm known as Rosie though and I hate that too! Wish I'd just been called rose!
 
I'm afraid it's not my kind of name. Rose alone is a lovely name and goes very well with your DD's name. Rosebay to me sounds like a place (which of course it is as you said) but not at all like a name x
