I am 8 days late, and did a cheapy test today, and :bfn: then about 45min later there was a faint faint line. I know that you should throw it out after the time limit, so should I just toss it and try another one?

The only reason I'm even asking is because it's as thick as the control line, and it's not grey, but blue.... Any ideas? Thanks :D

I had a very clear BFP on a blue dye test months ago and I was clearly not pg then.

I was just reading thru a lot of these posts, and no one seems to like the blue dye tests... I'm definitley going to buy some pink ones.

let us know how you get on with a pink dye test.

the problem with waiting too long, is that the longer you leave the test to develop, the more sensitive it becomes, and we do all have small amounts of hcg in our bodies regardless of whether we are pregnant or not, so after 45 minutes it may just have finally changed due to your natural low level of hcg. i hope those hcg levels are up and coming though to give you your BFP in a day or so!

I used to like the blue tests until I had a few false positives....and after reading posts here. Now I wouldn't use anything other than red dye tests.

Good luck! Hope it's a BFP for you!

Superdrug have got first response twin packs buy one get one free. So 4 great pink tests for £10!!!

I'm going to be honest with you about Blue dye test.....They are no good. All test that use blue dye give many many false positive before and after the time limit. Try doing a test with Red dye....First Response is great, or do a digital

thanks for the advice! i'm not going to buy anymore blue dye tests! AF come today with a rengence! CD38 same as last month, so i guess that's my new cycle length. Long time to wait though :(
