Totally irrational baby gender fears!

Thank you so much for all the replies ladies. I totally thought I'd be the only one who has gender fears/ the only one who was really hoping for one particular gender. I felt awful for it, but now I don't feel so bad haha I feel a bit more normal. I know no matter what I'll love my baby but I recently seen so many people having boys which has fuelled my want for a boy even more but I guess there really is nothing wrong with having a baby girl. I just need to put that past me.

Thank you all so much for sharing your stories! It's honestly so nice to read and feel normal. I'm still praying for a boy but will be happy with whatever I get!

Before I found out I was having a little boy, I deep down new I wanted another baby girl. But I'm happy I'm going to have my little boy, I think once you know what your having and once you've got used to it, it's super exciting

I think it is very common to fear a particular gender depending upon how we were raised. I was a tomboy with a little brother and sister so originally I had no fears just hoped for a healthy baby and had my beautiful, caring, shy, mommas boy #1. With #2 I secretly hoped for a girl just to have one of each, but I got my beautiful, outgoing laid back momma's boy #2. Now I can say I want a girl nut mostly cause I'm a little scared of having a house full of boys!! My oldest is almost a teenager! I can't imagine having three boys eating me out of house and home (and boy do they eat!) but truly, in my family a girl would probably be just like them especially with two older brothers to look up to and take after.
