Tragedy! 20 children and 6 adults killed in a school shooting in CT. I'm devastated!

Such horrible news. Please pray for these families, the community and us all!! I'm dying inside, with two 7 year olds in a small town neighborhood elementary school right now and I want to run and hug them.

Yes Connecticut. As of now they are saying 27 confirmed dead, a mix of children and staff. A friend said the news station she is watching has reported it was a father of a student (I didn't see that on the news conference and the channel I'm watching has NOT said that) and that it was a kindergarten classroom (again, I haven't personally heard that, Fox has reported it apparently).

This made me cry . The poor little children . The news says the gunman was possibly a parent of a child at the school and therefore easily gained entry. As a teacher and a parent I find this really scary as all the security in the world wouldn't keep a parent out and who would expect them to have intentions like that .

They've named the alleged shooter and his parent (they don't know if it was mum or dad) was a teacher at the school and was shot dead. I don't know if that's confirmed by the police or whether that's from their anonymous sources or not though.

EDIT: Its been confirmed by the police the shooters name was Ryan Lanza

He killed his parents and then wiped out a whole class of primary school aged children. The only thing I hope for is that those left behind are able to heal. What a fucking disgrace.
