Has anyone been here lately? I've not been since I was a child and I know my DS would love it. Is it still free? And is it open weekends for anyone to go?

So strange you have posted about the train museum . We have just watched a video on YouTube of a walk around/ review of it . Looks really good ! I think the guy doing the video said it’s still free !

LOL that's strange! Good news that it's still free though :)

Although it is free I'll pre warn you... as you enter you have to go through a till where they persuade/coerce/guilt trip you in to giving a donation! Think the recommended donation last time was £3 per person, but that was a while ago. They also charge you a fortune to park!

Saying that though, I'm sure Holly and James will enjoy it and even at £3 per person it's still pretty good value. There's a little minature train, that you can pay extra to ride on. And there's an outdoor and little indoor play area bit.

Thanks for the information :)
The miniature train sounds great ,James will be so excited!

We went today and had a great time. James absolutely loved it!
