Transcription Work

Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I could do some transcription work.

As im on maternity leave, we are starting to realise the money we are going to be losing I am thinking of doing this.

I work(ed) in admin so I am fairly fast at typing and it seems perfect to be done at home.
Just wondering if anyone can give me any info??

There are lots of firms out there that outsource transcription work. Just google and you'll find tons. I have done research interview transcription for years (mostly scientific interviews, but some market research), though I've only just started freelancing. I have a guy I often work for but he doesn't even have any work at the moment (so that's not helpful for you). But there are lots of places out there, just google. That said, it is considered work, so if you are are on maternity leave, doing transcription (unless you do it for cash and don't report it, but that's not legal) would disqualify you for maternity pay. If it was me, I'd enjoy the maternity leave while you can, and maybe just go back to work early. There's not that much money in transcription unless you want to do it fulltime.
