Hi girls,

Just wondering have any of you took a travel cot on a Jet2 airplane?

Trying to work out how much it is going to be but the only thing it says on their website is

There is no concession for travel cots

TIA
xx

I'm not sure if they would consider it as 'excess baggage' in which case, the following may apply;

"Excess Baggage

Subject to availability and at Jet2.com's discretion you may check-in excess baggage, which will be subject to an additional charge. This is currently 10GBP / 14EUR / 20CHF / 360CZK / 55PLN per kg and the charge is payable at the departure airport. Payment is generally accepted in local currency cash or by payment card which support foreign currency transactions. If you are planning to travel with excess baggage please allow extra time for the check-in process. No single item of baggage may weigh more than 25kg, with the exception of certain items of sporting equipment which may weigh up to 32kg."

It would be worth giving them a call to check.

Not sure how old the baby you are travelling with is, but when Ryan was younger, we used one of these; https://www.boots.com/en/Samsonite-Pop-Up-Bubble-Travel-Cot-Cafe-Creme_13852/ - and that fit inside my suitcase with plenty of room. EDIT: It was the smaller version of this.

Will they not provide travel cots where you are staying?

Yeah i just rang and she said £10 per Kilo.

Im assuming this doesnt apply to pushcahirs?

The travel cot will be for a just turned 1 year old.
And the pushchairs will be for him and my 3 year old niece.

Thanks hun. Will take a look at your link now xx

Pushchairs will be fine, you wheel them up to the plane as you're getting on, and they put them in the hold. Then (if you're lucky) they'll get them out for you at the other end for you to use straight off the plane.

I don't think my link will be any good for a 1 year old, think they're only up to sitting age. We had Ryan in ours once, and I woke up in the morning and he wasn't in it anymore! He had decided he could climb out all of a sudden and hidden under the bed!:haha:

Well it says 6month to 18months

I've sent the link to my sister so she can decide, and he's not walking yet and we go in 3 weeks, although he can stand lol x

Maybe it was just my little one that only went up to 6 months. They fold up really small and flat though, took mine everywhere.. just annoyed I sold it :(
