my dad was talking to his friend, him and his wife were trying for 3 years to get pregnant, they did conceive 6 times(as they know of) and all ended in miscarriage.
they got help from a fertility specialist, and we're told that if at least one of the couple has blood group A-negative, then they would never conceive a successfull pregnancy.
turned out the woman had A-negative, sook treatment and conceived and carried a healthy baby to full term.

is it really true about blood groups?

I hear lots of conflicting advise about this so not sure.

The MA did tell me that the blood groups have nothing to do with m/c.

I am O- and have had three mcs.

Rumps xx

i've never heard anything like that before and i'm sure if it was true we would have learned about it.

maybe what they meant was the thing where mother and child have a different rhesus factor.
if the mother is - and the child + then there might be a problem, BUT only in the 2nd pregnancy or while the first one is born, not during the pregnancy and surely not the moment of conception
eta: let me rephrase that... a problem for the child in the 2nd pregnancy if the mother's blood came in contact with her first born's blood,
so her body developped antibodies for that type of blood, so it would see the second child as an "intruder"..
it's a bit the same as an allergic reaction, ppl who are allergic to bees don't swell up the first time they get stung but they do the second time

just my opinion though

i'm o- and had 2 perfect pregnancies before my recent miscarriage xxx

I am A- and i have had two pregnancies with no problems and one miscarriage.

I am O Rhesus negative and I had to problem free pregnancys before my most recent miscarraige x

Hi hun
If the women has a rhesus negative factor and her partner is rhesus positive , then there is every chance the baby could be rhesus positive, this poses a problem if the baby's blood enters the mothers blood stream , this could be due to truma or miscarriage or delivery. If rhesus positive blood comes into contact with the mothers blood then the mothers blood see this a foriegn and manufactures antibodies which attack the baby. Where it is true that the first pregnancy is ok as the mother has not come into contact before with the babys blood , if there was a truma or a miscarriage or delivery then there is cause for baby's blood to mix with the mothers. There is an injection given to women to help prevent this during preganacy called anti D. should be alot of info on this if you google it x x x x x
