TTC #1 BC then Clomid???

We have been TTC off and on 5 years now, when we realized something was wrong we both paid a visit to the doctor. Everything is fine and ready to go with DH. Doctor did every test imaginable with me and concluded that I am extremely healthy and able to carry a child however my Testosterone was slightly elevated and I was not ovulating due to irregular periods. She was going to do Progera w/ clomid but said that the success rate in her 25+ years as obgyn with a different method was through the roof. She wants me to finish one full cycle of bc pills and then begin Clomid when I get my period. BC when TTC??? is this right Input and help please!
