TTC #1 looking for Buddy!

I'm 20 years old, married to the love of my life and TTC#1! We're going everything as naturally as possible. I do not chart - yet!- or anything like that. DH is in the Navy and I would really like toe find a buddy who is a military wife as well

Sorry, I'm not a military wife but I am trying to conceive naturally. We were NTNP for about 5 years so we decided to put a little more effort forth by charting (which is a great way of learning your body and it's totally natural) and now we're trying preseed this month because I've realized that my cm has decreased quite a bit.

We haven't tried charting or anything but next month I will give that a go and get some preseed or conceive plus as well. If this month isn't it, of course!!

We've only been at it for 2 cycles. My period was waaay off last time and yesterday I found out I have a cyst on my left ovary. It's probably nothing too serious, right? As far as I know a single cyst can't affect fertility too much. I am paranoid and worried though. Sex has been somewhat painful recently, but I dunno if it's just because of the three pelvic exams I had in the last week or what.... wah.

All this stuff is so scary. I just want to be normal!

Me too! Hubby has been soo busy we hardly had sex at all last week. Not that it mattered at that point but it's unusual for us. Hopefully he will be home and not too tired when it matters.

I understand. It's unusual for us to go a matter of days without being intimate. I think my dh really likes the BD'ing phase...he definitely has no complaints. Just make sure to get it in when it counts and wake him up if he gets tired! Hey, it's baby making time...lol!

I've just started checking cm... I've never paid attention to what my body is doing during ovulation so I'm trying to do that this cycle. Trying to spot ovulation pain etc.

MrsGrimes, around what time do you usually start feeling ovulation pains? I have no idea what to expect.

I've never noticed ov pain..but i never really looked for it either... ! but the EWCM was deffinately my clue to ovulation.. hope this helps a little!

It would indeed be odd for a man to complain! ha!

I'm nervous to actually keep him in the loop about when I am ovulating because I've heard some negative stories around here about men's reactions - they suddenly are too nervous to perform or what have you.

I don't think I've ever really experience it either! So hard to say without paying attention though. Also don't want to symptom spot...

I usually feel one of my ovaries more sensitive however many women don't feel this. I've actually always felt this and thought maybe something was wrong with me when I was younger before finding out that it's common and simply called, "ovulation pain" or the technical word, "mittelschmerz" which I believe is ovulation pain in German. So, I'll start feeling it in the next couple of days. I usually feel a discomfort more and more as the ovulation hits and that is when I get a smiley face from my opk. More than likely, you will notice that your cm is changing and you'll be very wet before ovulation. "They" say that you should have ewcm (egg white cervical mucus) that you can actually stretch between your fingers as far as 2 inches and that mucus is conducive to conceiving...protects the swimmers and allows them to stay around longer. That's good that you're paying attention to your cm. I've just started doing that this cycle too. I notice the change every cycle but haven't been consistently checking it.

Thanks for the info! Conveniently I'm from Germany so I know mittelschmerz means (literally translated) "middle pain". I've just started finding out about ovulation pains and have never done any research in German on this so i don't know if that's actually the term we use for it in German or not. Sometimes English speaking folks will just take German phrases and apply it to whatever lol
