TTC #1 and using an LH OPK kit. I have a 38 day cycle and assumed I would not see a surge until CD 22-CD26 but I received (what appears to be) a positive OPK test on CD 19 ...is that too soon for a 38 day cycle?? I attached some photos so you can see :)

It sounds about right - remember the surge happens before ovulation, so your body is gearing up now and you'll probably ovulate in the next day or two so get busy! I had three days of positive opks recently! Obviously took a while for my body to gear up! Good luck xx

That does seem a little early for a 38 days cycle but that may be your body's natural rhythm. Also, you can have more than one lh surge in a cycle. Since this is your first month using OPKs I suggest you keep using OPKs.

I would also recommend temping to confirm ovulation. Good luck!

I have those same test strips and I don't consider it to be positive until the test line is the same darkness as the control line. Keep testing at the same time every day to see the 'fade in' as it gets darker!

I have to use first morning urine because it's the only time it's concentrated enough to detect a positive, I drink too much water during the day to test in the evening or afternoon.
