TTC 15 months, need some friends:)

Ugh, I bet unexplained infertility must be soooo frustrating. I hope your new doc can help shed some light on what's going on. Have you had much testing done by your previous doc?
I was just inserting the preseed about 15 mins before dtd, but might try putting some in the cup too. I'm willing to try just about anything, lol!

Me too! Anything that will do the trick, or at least have the hope of doing the trick :P
My previous doc did some blood work, and a few u/s, one internal, and checked thyroid levels, progesterone, etc. but she said everything looks normal. She said to get check for endo just in case since my mom had it. She also did a couple SAs for DH and he had 15 million but only 50% normal/useable, but the doc said his levels shouldn't hinder conception, so I dunno. Thanks, I hope this doc can shed new light on this for real!

I'm still waiting, it's early, I'm 8 dpo. you can check my ttc journal in my sig but mostly symptoms have only been bad af cramps.
I have a pelvic ultrasound tomorrow to check my uterine lining.

What doctor are you going to? I thought you're not going to Fertility Specialist, but I see you done tests. Is it OBGYN? Sorry I'm still learning the canadian health whatever structure.
Obgyn didn't want to see me, they directted me to fertility specialists.
I'm seeing an ob/gyn. she scheduled the test for me. a technician is doing the test and sending the results to my dr. I don't know what the results are unless I guess I go in for an appt or they call me. I want to call them and tell them where I'm at and they'll decide if I need an appt or not. I guess if you're trying a long time, maybe they're sending you to a fertility specialist. my ob/gyn is also a fertility specialist.

Oh, that makes sense. So it is a fertility specialist. What area of Toronto is the obgyn, if you don't mind me asking? I want to change my FS.

you need a referral for FS, you can't just walk in and see one. Go to your family doctor and have a talk. gl!

I can tell my GP which FS I want to use and he'll reffer me there. That's what I did with the first FS, but I'm not too happy with them.

Do your GP know any FS that he knows well, or knows that are particularly gifted in their profession?

Well, my GP is an older guy (the doctors he knew I guess are either retired or getting retired, but he is amazing doctor and I'm not change him until he retires). When we decided to seek help, he sent us to one OBGYN that wanted to do lap first thing without any other test. I'm pretty much against any kind of opertaion, even being "small" as lap (the body is perfcetly sealed object and ones opened you get more problems). I would consider invasive procedure as lap as a last resort, but first I wanted to do all other noninvasive tests. This is my logic. So the doctor didn't want to change his way and we never went back there.
After this my GP left us to choose an FS, so this clinic that I was going to, came highly recomended from couple of people. But it took us 20-25 min to get there at 7-8 am and you know how it is with cycle monitoring, you have to go 3rd, 8th, 9, 10, 11, 12... day basically lamost evert day if they see that your ovulation is approaching. So it became quite a torture. Also I asked them for some tests (like post coital test), and their response was "those are old fashioned" (!!!)
If you know any FS in West End of Toronto, tell me.

Hi everyone, Well here I am 17 months into ttc with pcos and underactive thyroid . I have now got to the point where I need some support from others who are in the same boat as me. I would also like to offer support back in return. This ttc really is a tough and frustrating journey and I truly hope our journeys come to an end real soon. I am currently on a waiting list to attend a fertility clinic for the first time, doc is hopeful I will be seen before Christmas. I would have been referred sooner however my pcos and underactive thyroid have only been diagnosed recently. Love to you all :hugs:

Welcome daydreamer! I hope you can find the support and comfort you need in this thread :) We definitely understand your journey as it is ours too. I'm on cycle 19 and waiting the help of a gynecologist/ob. I really hope they can give me some insight as to why we haven't had our BFP yet. Good luck with your appointment at the fertility clinic! Hopefully your appt is sooner rather than later :hugs:

Hi daydreamer! I have pcos too. I know how frustrating it can be! I think my biggest problem with pcos is insulin resistance. Did your doctor test you for that?
