Hi everyone, I'm new to this website but instead of just reading the posts looking for answers, I decided to join and ask for some help...
My Husband and I have been ttc for 5 years, we found out I had a sepate uterus, endometriosis, PCOS and inovulation. I had a laparoscopy done on December 12th, 2014 (CD12), where they removed all said conditions and I'm now at CD 33 and I was wondering if anyone has any input on when I should start my cycle? I use a period tracker app on my phone and it is usually pretty accurate, it says I am 2 days late. I know the procedure can delay it, but how long usually? My Husband and I didn't wait long after the surgery to try... because I was feeling pretty good but I took a test yesterday and it was negative. Any help or advice anyone can give me? Thank you!

Hi there and welcome! I've never had a laparoscopy but good for you for jumping right back in afterwards! I heard that they are be rough to recover from.

It could delay your period, but by how much probably depends on the person. Do you know that you ovulated this cycle?

Nice to meet you also!

I am not positive that I ovulated... I am taking Fertilaid, Fertile CM and OvaBoost to help with my cycles and my PCOS. IT helped a few of my friends with their PCOS and getting pregnant. The first day or two was rough but I do seem to recover quickly from procedures. (thankfully) LoL

Sounds promising! Have you ever tried temping? I did it for 4 months and found it really helpful :-)

If you ovulated, maybe it's a bfp? Fingers crossed for you!

I haven't yet... I actually won a OvaCue Fertility Monitor from the people who sell the Fertilaid on Facebook last month! It was right before my surgery so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Is there a trick to it? If I do start, I plan to use it... I tested again today and it was negative again

I've seen so many negative results in the last 5 years, idk what I will do when I actually get a positive LoL

I've never used one of the fertility monitors but that's awesome you won one!!

I know what you mean, although it's only been 10 months for me. I had a dream earlier this month that I had a positive and even in the dream I was shocked... I've been hoping that the dream is a good sign haha since Ive only had dreams about negative tests ;-)

That's so crazy because about a week after my surgery, I had a dream that I got a positive, like a very dark/obvious positive and I was so dumbfounded I ran out and bought the one that say "pregnant" just to see the words LoL I hope it is a good sign for you!

That is almost my dream exactly! I have tons of dreams but never one about a positive test like that. Let's hope that is a good sign for us both!!!
