Hi girls,

I had to deal with an early miscarriage last week. I'm not suffering mentally from it but I do feel sick, weak and tired. I'm not blaming the flight for it to be honest as that was Monday. I have stooped bleeding today. So my AF went on for 7 days instead of 4. How am I gonna know when to conceive again? Is it even possible to calculate it when I have been always on time with a 27 cycle?

Hi I'm sorry for your loss I've been through this earlier in the year x I waited one cycle after to ttc and then gave my body abit of a rest and were ttc from this month once I've come off AF x the best thing to do is take a weekend away it really helped me and my DH to come to terms with things and take our minds off things & a few spa treatments to relax :) x

I never waited after an early m/c to try again. I think that you should wait till when you feel you are ready. I usually treated the cycle of the m/c as a normal cycle once the bleeding stopped. I followed my bbt and my cervical mucus so it was easy to know when my ovulation occured as it might be on a different day, but I never was regular. I do have to add that on the cycle after m/c I did not actively ttc but left it at if it happens it happens. On my next regular cycle I started my usual intense ttc. Hope this helps!

Start when you are ready! After my MC in 2010 i got a BFP with my daughter the following month. I MC at 8 weeks.

After this MC my GP advised waiting a few cycles. Especially as it can help with dating.

BUT! I am choosing to ignore!

sorry for your loss hunny :( i waited until i got my first period after the miscarriage and then we tried again. it took me a while to get over my loss, but the fact that i had my new baby inside me made me feel so much better. good luck

I had to deliver my little angel at 16 weeks and we tried straight away. That doesn't stop me visiting my son's memorial :) When you feel right is OK :)

When I had my miscarriage, I got pregnant right away afterward. I know they say you should wait for a while before trying again, but we went right back to it a couple weeks afterward and I got pregnant immediately. Fortunately that baby stuck and resulted in my wonderful 16 month old son!

I'm feeling a bit like the lone lady out. I MCed 3 years ago this Dec 9th at 9+2 after combating swine flu around the time of conception and being on meds etc... Just wasn't a good situation and it broke my heart. I'm just now gearing up to TTC this December.

I understand! I was very upset when I miscarried as well, I think that's what motivated me to get pregnant again though.

Part of me wanted to try again right away... And we NTNP for one cycle and nothing came of it... actually it was more like an oops. Then I went cynical and nasty and shunned all things baby... Now I'm back to being clucky. Strange roller coaster.

When I miscarried my first at 10wks it took around 3 wks for the hormone to get out of my body and pregnancy tests to show negative.

I waited til then, as then I had a period, and we tried after that.

You try when you feel ready.

Good luck!:flower:

i waited a 2 cycles after my first and 1 cycle after my second, its hard to go though but i no deep in my heart all i want is to be a mummy and thanks to my OH and my doctors i was mental and phycial ready.

remenber do it for you and be ready in your own time, unlike most thinks in life its a manthon not a race

if you need to talk im here for you, ive been where you and i no how lonely it can be

Cool thanks guys. :) I am not really that sad over my early loss. Maybe because it was so early like but I do want to try again asap. I dont want to lose any month for my 2012 baby. :D It is just the question, will I know my ovulation dae with this happened?

The only thing about TTCing after MC is I dont know if my AF will be normal. So basically my normal days would be 4, it was 7 this time. Would I have to add on those extra 3 days and then in 27 days I have my AF again? Or do they not count at all and could the AF come as if I would have a normal 4 days?

Hi,

I'm not sure I understand your question here but think that's me being dumb! I recently conceived during my first af after mc. My af this time was like you, I bled for 7 days instead of my usual 4. Since this 3rd pregnancy is not going to work out I am wondering if it was a mistake to conceive so soon. Having said that, during my 2nd miscarriage a few months back, I waited for 2 cylces after mc and that didn't work out either!! So... I don't know is the answer but so many women have successful pregnancies straight away and all my doctors have said don't bother waiting. Can I just ask you, you said your cylce is 27 days. I am not sure whether mine is 27 or 28. How do you count yours? I have spotting on the 28th day and then the heavier bleeding starts on the 29th day so not sure which one to count as the first day of my cycle if you see what i mean. How do you count yours? x :hugs:

Firstly, so sorry for your loss. I've been through the same so know just how you must be feeling.

Secondly, after speaking to my Dr, she told me that apart from dating reasons, there was nothing stopping me from trying again straight away if that's what I wanted to do, as it was an early MC and had run it's course naturally.

I did, and was pregnant again 27 days later.

I wish you all the luck in the world for a sticky beany next time around, whatever you decide to do x

To elaborate, I was pregnant 27 days after the bleeding started, which lasted about 7 days also. So yeah, I think OV happened early that cycle xx

Cool cuz I think I ovulated yesterday or today so fingers crossed. Last time we bd was Tuesday... I hope that is enough to get pregnant... Last time we bd one day before OV.

Hello. :) Thanks for your help first of all. I have been told by my doctor that the next pregnancy will go just fine without a MC. So lets see what happens. Every person is different.

In relation to the cycle. I have an app on my phone called Period Tracker. Basically from the last day of my AF so the 4th day in this case I have to count up 27 days. Then the 27th day is the day I get my AF.

Thanks:flower: Yes the chances of your next pregnancy going well are sky high and just the same as anyone who hasn't had a miscarriage, you'll be fine, it's so common to have one especially if it's your first. I think I'm on a 27 day cycle then. I usually detect the LH surge on CD 14 and ovulate on CD 15, do you? x
