TTC after Miscarriage- how long did you wait?

I m/c in Aug and Oct will be my first month TTC again. I would have started earlier but DH wanted to wait, per MD advice to wait 2-3 cycles. So we compromised and waited 2 cycles. AF is here now so looking forward to starting to try! Good luck!

I've waited about 5 and a half months after my MC and am starting TTC tonight! If it was upto me we would of started trying straight away but the baby wasn't planned so OH needed a bit of time to get his head around things and to prepare but getting abit healthier.
I'd start when ever you feel ready hun :)

@filipenko32: I am not sure about my CD days to be honest. According to my 4 normal days of AF I should have O today. I think I do but I am not quite sure if not it should 3 days later. I don't know how you calculate it really. What are you using to calculate it and is it always right?

Hi, do you mean calculate ovulation? I use the poas Clearblue ovulation kit sticks to detect when I ovulate. I like them because a smiley face comes up straight away and you don't have to start holding sticks up to the light to see if there's a line or not! I usually start testing aroung CD12 / 13 as that's when i get the ov signs like ewcm and twinges etc. The big drawback tho is that they are expensive and i cringe at how much money i must have spent on these. Then I carry on testing when I get a smiley face (!) to see when the LH surge that triggers ovulation has stopped, then I know the egg has been released but unfortunately in my case anyway the eggs have had some very sticky ends recently or not so sticky as I would like!! Unless you're really in tune with body's ov symptoms then poas ov kits are the only way to tell really and it always works for me (when I get a smiley face my husband isn't allowed out for 3 days :haha:) Hope that's helpful and I didn't misunderstand what you asked - please tell me if I did! x

Also you might ovulate before you get your next af but to detect that would require testing everyday and that's expensive!! Just try every other day and that's usually enough. Some people, including me don't ov after miscarriage and I have to wait 4 weeks till next cycle. Be careful that your bleeding has completely finished though and you're cramp free as you are more prone to infection when your cervix is technically still open and that can cause more problems. You also need to make sure you have been rescanned or bloods tested to ensure miscarriage is complete, or you could just see if a pregnancy test says negative, that's what i usually do. After bleeding stops from a mc I usually wait 2 days just to be sure then get on with ttc and more ov testing kits as I'm addicted!!! If you want one of these they're usually with the pregnancy tests and Superdrug are slightly cheaper. I bulk order off Amazon if I can now. x

And your 1st af after a mc might be a little heavier or lighter so don't worry about that either x
