Hi Girls, :flower: I am really looking for anyone on here that has had a similiar experience and might offer some advice/share their experiences!

My OH and I have been ttc since the start of 2009 and since then have had all the regular bloods that have cime back normal but 2 ultrasounds came back with conflicting info on fibroids in my uterus. One scan showed a Submucosal Fibroid and the second scan showed an Intramural Fibroid. Both are totally different types of fibroid with different effects on fertility. Anyway last week i had an HSG exam and my tubes filled and spilled but the Doc reported finding either 2 submucosal fibroids OR 2 uterine polyps. The FS i saw yesterday was v.unhelpful and just said i have to have a hysterocsopy and i am on a wait list for that. i went to see my GP today to get a referal through my private health insurance with work so that i can get answers as to what is actually going on inside my uterus. The FS yesterday said the only choice we have is for IVF/ICSI as my OH also has low sperm (we are working on this).

Sorry this is so long...i am begining to lose hope that my uterus is so messed up i wont beable to carry a foetus even if i have IVF/ICSI.

Does anyone have any experiences with these types of issues?

Thanks! :hugs:

I'm sorry I can't offer any help. I hope you get your answers soon and that you will be able to have the baby you want.

I have had two pregnancies with 3 fibroids all submucousal...never have gotten bigger or interfered with conception or pregnancy! Have gotten pregnant "first try" with them last two times!

Hi I've had two MCs and they found that I had fibroids, so I've just had a lap and hysteroscopy. I had polyps removed and was told that my large fibroid is in the wall and not a problem :)
I have other issues as well but just wanted you to know that there is hope. Also I would have thought they would remove the fibroids if they are on the inside of your uterus. Also if IVF is your only option when I went to a private clinic I was told to go back when my fibroid was sorted - the success rate is higher in ladies without fibroids (obviously :dohh: )

I would have the hysteroscopy and see what they do and say afterwards - don't take 'IVF is your only option' until you have the full picture.

Good luck :dust:

Thank you for your support and help. I do feel a lot more positive about all of this and will keep at it! These fibroids are so annoying!! I had an ultra sound done last year and they found nothing!

I hope all your journies run smoothly lots of :dust: to all!!!
