TTC and confused

Here's my story:
I had a miscarriage in '08 with my first pregnancy and I bled for two weeks extremely heavily, changing a pad AND tampon every 20-30 minutes. No need for DNC because it went naturally before I ever knew I was pregnant.
My second pregnancy, I had a "threatened miscarriage" but went on to have a very healthy baby boy at 37 weeks in 2010.
I had another miscarriage in middle of February 2015 that only lasted one week with lots and lots of clots but only slightly heavier than a normal flow. HPT showed BFP on date AF was due and was Dr confirmed about 5 days later. 10 days after BFP at home, miscarriage happened. No need for DNC as it was also taken care of naturally.
In March, I had a normal 5 day period as I always do and it was on time, as always (other than being after miscarriage, of course).
It is now April.
About a week before AF was due, I started cramping. Usually I don't cramp until one day before AF. Two days before AF was due, I went to bathroom and when I wiped, a small amount of bright pink blood was on TP. Later that day, I started spotting brown which lasted for two days.
Yesterday (the day AF was actually due), I bled enough in the morning to put in a tampon. About two hours later, I went to the bathroom and changed the tampon, as the last one was fully used. The next tampon came out nearly clean so I wore a panty liner the rest of the day and hardly ever had more than a drop of blood.
Last night as I was asleep, I woke up and went to the bathroom because I felt like I was going to bleed everywhere. However, it felt like my normal period coming back so I put on a pad.
This morning when I was in the shower, a blood clot "fell out" that was about the size of a nickel. This was the only clot for this entire duration of...whatever this is!
At work today, I started off spotting slightly but since about 8:00 or 9:00 am, there has been absolutely nothing. Not even a drop.
Should I call my doctor and set up an appointment? Should I take a HPT and see? Or should I wait it out to see if my period continues or not?
According to my ovulation chart, I am 14 DPO.

I have had two cycle since my mmc and they are both very different. First was super light, spotting really and this one is super heavy with small clots. Could just be that, but if you are thinking chemical pregnancy and want to know you could get blood work done or poas... Good luck!

First of all, I'm sorry you're going through crazy periods, too. I know it really sucks but for some reason, mother nature likes playing cruel tricks on us! Lol
I called the OB this morning and spoke to a nurse. She said to wait until I missed my period to test, but thing is, this is the time my period was supposed to be, only it started two days early with brown spotting. This whole time since Friday (April 10), I haven't had anything more than spotting besides a small gush here and there. I think the nurse was confused about when my period was supposed to start. I think she thought I meant this coming Sunday, not this past Sunday. Ugh... I'm so confused about everything!

Update! I have been spotting brown again for two days, only when I wipe. No "normal" period for me, so I tested about 20 minutes ago. BFN. Oh, well. I guess my body isn't ready for baby #2 yet! I will update again if (and hopefully when) things change!
