Good evening ladies,

I am new, so if I am posting in the wrong section, I am sorry .. I am pretty sure this is the right one though :winkwink: It may be a bit of a long one though, sorry!!!

In short, I have been TTC for 2 years 5 months, I am fairly young - just coming up to 23, however I have never had a "normal cycle":nope:

I started my periods about age 12/13 and for the first two years I was having really heavy periods every two weeks, then after two years I stopped having periods all together - nothing wrong with me health wise, no sudden weight changes etc, in fact at that time I was a healthy size 10-12 and exercised three times a week and had an active life style! Then I turned 18, and pretty much had a constant "period since". I have had in the last 4 years probably 6 months break spread out between the whole time. I have seen at least 7 doctors in relation to this, had numerous extensive tests which have confirmed I do not have PCOS, endometriosis, fibriods, STIs etc etc. All my hormone levels are fine, and I was put on the pill for a few months which made my bleeding worse, or the week it did stop me bleeding I was in the most horrific pain. I have seen a gynecologist in relation to this who at first was convinced I had chlamydia, however tests came back that I was all clear! He then referred me for a lapaoscopy, which they found absolutely nothing.
I am currently waiting for a letter to come through with a date to see another one to get a second opinion, however there has not been a letter land on my door step yet, and its been over 6 weeks and I am getting to my witts end.

I know I am not ovulating because I do not stop bleeding. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this, if so can you please enlighten me :(

Also next steps - Chlomid, how do I go about this. I am fully prepared to go private to get it - but what are the chances, also the criteria. I am classed as "over weight" although I am a size 12-14 currently and I think this is quite healthy! Would this effect my chances of getting it in anyway? I am also worried if they tell me they cant class that I have been trying as I have not been ovulating?? :growlmad:

My husband is off to Afghanistan in March next year, and my ideal situation is falling pregnant before he leaves, however I am not holding out for miricales.

If anyone can offer any advice it would be so greatly appriciated!

Hello hunny, welcome!!

I don't know much about your constant bleeding, but I can tell you that you do not need to go private to get clomid, this is my first month using clomid as I was diagnosed with "unexplained infertility".... And I got 6 months worth of 50mg to take on cd 2-6.

I honestly don't know why you are having this constant bleed, but I wish you luck, and if I was you I'd get on the phone to ask where you letter is!!

XxXxXxXxXxX

P.S I am a size 12 and had no problem getting clomid.. Your weight won't be an issue! 12-14 in my opinion, is curvy and healthy.

yes i am size 12 too, ar FS told me I am perfect size for pregnancey too skinny can mess you up he said... I don't think wieight is an issue for you.

That bleeding sounds very bad though hope they can get to the bottom of it.

((HUGS))

Gosh, what a horrible situation! :hugs:
I don't know why you are bleeding so much, but my mum had constant bleeding for a while and her gynaecologist performed a D&C to clean her out and give her cycle a kick start. Have you had this before?
As for your doc who is not writing to you, it is definitely worth following up with a phone call or two and let them know right away that you need a follow up appointment.

I may be wrong, but my first instinct would be to get the bleeding sorted out and only take clomid if that is part of the treatment. You mention that all your hormone tests have come back as normal, but have you had ovulation confirmed with a day 21 test? Normally, you'd have a day 3 and day 21 test done the same cycle, but it could be that in your case you should have all the hormones tested at three weeks interval since you don't have defined cycles. You can ask your GP to order these tests if you haven't had them yet.
I can also recommend temping so you get a better feel of what is happening when. Does your temp rise at a certain time? If yes, how long is your luteal phase?
Apologies if this is all old news for you. Just ignore it :)
Otherwise good luck and keep pushing those doctors!
