ttc but starting a new job in 3 weeks!

Me and my partner really want a baby, but I'm starting a new job in 3 weeks, if I fall pregnant quickly will I be entitled to some sort of maternity pay? I can't wait a year to ttc, the government won't leave me with no money surely. Xx

If your in the UK then I think most employers say your should have been working there for 25 weeks before getting pregnant for you to be entitled to full maternity pay from that employer. Otherwise youll get statutory maternity pay from government which is around 550 a month.
Im in the same situation. I just started a new job 2 days ago and worried about the same thing but the way I look at it isi want a baby more than anythng so that comes first.

As long as you can prove you haven been working then yeah.
I think you have to have been morking full time for 36 weeks to get it

So even if iv handed my notice in at my previous job that I worked 50+ hours for Xx
