Anyone else taking a break from Facebook due to the overwhelming "I love my kids, their faces lit up this morning" and quatrillion pictures? I just couldn't handle it. Call me the Grinch this year of Christmas, I never felt it from the start and glad it's gone. I hope people move on from Christmas fast. Doesn't help I started AF Sunday so CD3 for me. Spent the day with cramps and ice cream.

I know I don't mean any of this stuff, it's mainly venting due to I was supposed to be 4 months baby bump right now and seeing everyone with their LO's and rubbing it in each others faces when they all know they have people on their list who have M/C'ed. One friend even has two friends that went public about their M/C's (me being one of them) and yet still went to post about how having kids around is the only good thing about Christmas and that those who don't have any are missing out.

Like I told my DH, Christmas is such a selfish time of the year.Everyone forgets that they have friends who don't have it so perfect and shove it in each others face. Can't wait for the TTC road to be over with. 3 years is seriously draining especially when I see soo many oopsies and teen pregnancies and people getting pregnant in the most devious ways.

Sorry for the vent, had to get it out there.

:hugs: It's like you picked my brain because I feel the EXACT same way. Only, the worst for me (for the most part, I stayed off Facebook until my family went home) was my friend texting me a picture of an engagement ring. Yeah, I'm already married, but she completely ruined this year for me. I know it's not fair for me to say, but it's true. She has been cheating on her boyfriend for YEARS (longer than I've been with DH) and got pregnant in February. She announced it to me on the day I got my AF, complained the whole time telling me things like "I don't even know why you want to be pregnant, it sucks," and then had the baby three days before my own birthday--I know she couldn't help that last one, but I specifically prayed she would deliver the week before when her due date was, but she went late.

So, she doesn't even know who the father of her baby is and he's been told this, but there it was.. her happiness shoved in my face via text. My mood went from ehhh to "UGHHH!!!" Sorry, just wanted to share how annoying the holiday was from a fellow LTTTCer.

No worries this is what these threads are for. The worst one for me had to be seeing my SIL celebrating her first Christmas with her LO when at the time of conception:

a)she was still living with my mom and my step brothers dad
b)no job
c)step brother only had part time job
d)tricked my step brother into getting her pregnant by saying she was still on the pill when she wasn't (only took her two months from when she stopped her pill)
e) My step brother had no say in the whole pregnancy at all..not even discussing the options of when she found out, she put her foot down saying she's keeping it like as if she had it planned all along which we all suspect she did.

To see her have that first Christmas with her LO was probably the most heart breaking part of all of the show offs. Why does someone who lies and skeems to get pregnant get it so easy and we gotta fight for it? This is so backwards lol. :hugs:

Your SIL sounds like a real winner:dohh:. I hate when people like that get pregnant so quickly. It's like, there really is such little fairness in the world when people like that get their way (or at least get what we want so badly). My friend who just got engaged is sort of the same way. She'd found out we were TTC and I have a suspicion she got pregnant to get the boyfriend to marry her. Except, the other guy already has a couple of kids and they'd been sleeping together at the time. I've read the best indicator of male fertility is if he already has children. The now-fiance and her have been together for ten years, give or take. I think that's a little odd.

same :( it turned me into a crying grinch. peoples posts like "having a kid makes christmas worth living" or something like that. All these people announcing their pregnancies, it's just so hard, I'm still crying

completely with you guys on this one... One person on my fb list announced her 2nd pregnancy...when her parents and her husbands parents pay for all of their stuff already! ugh! Why is it so hard for mature adults with stable relationships and jobs to get pregnant???? Thanks for letting me vent! I feel for all of you and I hope you get your bfp's very soon!

Agree completely - got to hear via facebook on X-mas that my loser, jobless, pot-smoking, wannbeghetto 20 year old cousin found out that a third babymama has announced she's "havin hiz baybe". What is wrong with this world?! I just spent x-mas pondering rather I should offer my home as collateral for a loan to afford IVF - what's wrong with this picture?

You ladies are amazing - this journey is terrible sometimes, but I feel that we'll all find it worth it someday in some kind of way. Keep your heads up, and yes, don't go on Facebook :)

Glad I wasn't the only one. Not glad that we were in sour moods but that I wasn't the only one not feeling it this year. To top it all off, the main pipe in our house decided it would break today to add insult to injury to a crappy Holiday season putting us roughly 650$ in the hole by having to call an emergency plumber which is double the price of regular plumbing. bring on 2013! I'm sooo going to enjoy seeing 2012 disappear.

Plus spent Christmas day itself crying due to all of those overwhelming posts. Just wasn't a good one this year. Hope we all get to relate to those posts next year!

I can honestly say I know exactally what you are feeling. I avoided facebook all together on Chirstmas for this very reason. My mother even had the nerve to make a comment that Christmas is not Chirstmas without children. All my friends including one that is currently 30 weeks pregnant is posting daily bump pics...its sooooo annoying, and she knew about my m/c.

DH and I didn't even go home for Christmas this year, we felt like something was missing. I would have been 23 weeks pregnant during the holiday so this year it was very heartbreaking. It took us 6 years to concieve our little one and we said goodbye far too soon. The grief of infertility/pregnancy loss is difficult, and I wish people took that into consideration before they shove their children in everybody's face.

Yea I was supposed to be 4 months babybump at Christmas. I didn't go home for Christmas either as I happen to be the black sheep of the family when it comes to fertility. Even my 47 year old aunt got accidental BFP without even trying. She was actually trying to avoid BFP. It speaks volumes when a woman almost 50 can get BFP accidental yet I'm 22 and it doesn't want to happen. (I mean no offensive to the older TTC'ers, just venting)

I understand what you are saying. I am 30 going on 31 and I started my TTC journey when I was 24. I have a friend who's mother got an accidental BFP at 42!! And she gave birth to a healthy baby. I mean no disrespect for any of the older LTTTers either, they deserve their bfp's too, it just makes me feel really aweful to know that I am at the child bearing age and I can't have one. Wow, I was 24 now I am almost 31, feels like I will never see the day that I hold my new born baby in my arms.

Ok so you guys will love this one...

Yesterday while out running errands I ran into a guy I was friends with in high school. I asked what he was up to now. He said he is living with his girlfriend and "her mistake from another relationship"...meaning her son. Ummm i just about lost it! Some of us would give our right arms for a "mistake" and dont even get me started on how big of an idiot he is! Thought I was over being grinchy. But no! yesterday brought it back again. I cried on the way home :(

Just to clarrify something, a little confused..does he mean "her mistake from another relationship" as in just an accidental bfp from a previous relationship or does he just have straight up disgusting attitude about kids? Either way that's never a way to talk abouta LO weather it's yours or not. disgusting..shame on your high school friend.

I am not positive as I never have met the girlfriend but it seems like thats just how he views his girlfriend's little son! Disgusting. Soooo glad I havent seen him in YEARS.
