Hi,

I am beyond sad and frustrated and really need help.

I am 25Years old, I have been married for 1 year and half, November shall be our anniversary for two years.
I have been struggling to get pregnant for the last year, not using protection for the duration of our marriage however no luck.
I have had to wait in order for GP to take my testing. They finally took a set of bloods which came back healthy and fine.

The worrisome aspect was my 21day cycle blood testing, my progesterone is extremely low of 1. I am so upset. The more frustrating part is my GP is wanting to refer me to specialist however I am 1% over BMI. So they will not accept me until I lose weight which is fair, however will not see me until 6months after I loose the weight and maintain it off.

I just need some support from those that have been through the process, and I am new to the blog so not clear on abbreviations.

I haven't been referred anywhere but I'm pretty sure my hormones have been messed up and have shown some of the signs for low progesterone. There are some things you can do yourself to help balance things, mostly through diet. If your diet isn't ok then your hormones will quite possibly be out of sync especially if you are low on things like B vitamins. Taking a good supplement will help, you could take a prenatal supplement to cover all your vitamins and minerals or you could look at those which specifically have more of an impact on progesterone levels and take those separately instead. Google about foods to help your levels too and foods which are generally good at balancing hormones. You could also look at alternative therapies to help put you in the right direction too, which may also help you in weight loss, potentially. Also taking a probiotic supplement or eating live yoghurt or drinking probiotic drinks are important because gut health directly impacts upon hormones.
It may be that this can't be fixed by making changes to diet and supplements but many a time things can be, or at the least they can be helped
