Ttc number 2 after struggling to conceive #1

Just curious if there is anyone out there who had a successful iui go on to have a second with iui? Didn't think I'd ever be back on this site but here I am feeling frustrated and alone again. It took us about a year to conceive # 1 with iui. Luckily we were blessed with our lo after the second try. Now here I am again trying for number 2. So far we have tried naturally for 5 months and now have failed 2 iui's we have unexplained fertility. I'm just afraid it might not work for us again, it just really makes me sad because my dream is to have 3 children but with all the difficulty it looks like we could possibly only have one.

I can completely relate, we are TTC number 2. We got a bfp the first time round on our 3rd attempt at iui. We had our first unsuccessful iui at Christmas.

I feel like we were so very lucky with our lo that it can't possibly happen again.
I so want a sibling for our lo. But then I feel like I'm being greedy.

I am going to remain positive though. It can and will happen. Have you a plan on how many iuis you will try? I think we will stick at it as long as we can financially. We can't afford ivf so its iui or nothing.

I actually got my bfp today, I completely shocked. I like you thought we were so lucky the first time around that it might not happen again. We too fAiled the first iui, this was our second. When are you going for your second?now Looking back I think we hVe the offs in our favor since iui worked for us once!good luck to you!

Yes this was my second iui which is ironic Bc last time it was also the second iui that took.I really am in shock and was already thinking I might have to do Ivf! This time I only produced 1 follicle on both the 1st and second iui. Both times I had one dominant and 1 other that was around 13-15 mm, so unlikely to catch up. I took femara 7.5 the first time and this last time I took clomid 150, she was planning to switch toinjectables next to get me to produce more than one egg,I amso thankful it did not get to that because our insurance does not cover it. Did they recommend you have another hsg?? I did with the first pregnancy and she wanted me to have it again,not because she thinks my tubes are blocked but Bc she thinks it increases your chances of having iui be successful. I had trouble scheduling it so I ended up not getting it but would've definitely done it again if the 2 nd iui did not take. I will pray for you, when is your next iui?what are you taking? I just still cannot believe it took with one follicle, I guess one is really all you need. I'm also 34 now so that was another scary thing for me to be approaching 35 this year!! I pray this sticks, I cannot go for my beta until Monday because I work Friday 😩😩
