Hi everyone, I've been ttc for over 5 months. Before i started TTC, my cycle was about 27 -28 days. It was always so regular and I therefore assumed i wouldnt have any problems conceiving. But, ever since i started ttc, it became shorter - now usually only 25 days. I did the BBT tracking this month, which looks like it is only aiming for a 10 day LP... and i've read you need to have more than 10 days LP for successful implantation. I've also been having weird spotting throughout the month.

I've been married for about 4 years, so frustrating that now when we finally decide to start ttc, i feel like my cycle has gotten weird. i hope nothing is wrong. i read on one of these threads about taking vitamin b6 to help lengthen your LP. Has anyone tried this? Anyone have any similar problems going on?

Sorry I don't have anything helpful to say but I didn't want to read and run.

A 10 day lp is ok. Some doctors like to see it between 12-14 (or so I've read but 10 is enough to concieve. Spotting could be a progesterone issue. Have you spoken to your doctor about the spotting?

I had a 7 day lp and have increased it to 11 last month from taking a vitamin b complex (there is a huuuge thread on here about it) but some people swear by agnus castus.

My advice would be to see the doctor about spotting and don't be offended if they don't take your lp serious. My FS says I shouldn't be charting, temping, opks or anything... I am of course but some doctors etc thinks it very old fashioned in inaccurate. x

Yes, B6 worked for me right away. I usually have my LH surge on CD17 and
O on CD19, which gave me an 11 day LP. I started on 50 mg of a B complex and got my LH surge today, CD13...so that's quite a change in a short period of time....In fact, I was not planning to even test today, just did it on a whim...I almost missed it!

Also, 25 to 31 days between periods is considered a normal menstrual cycle.

Spotting throughout the month, however, seems off, especially if it has never happened before...

Thanks for your replies. i just wanted to provide an update on this. the occaional spotting i was having turned into light bleeding throughout my whole cycle, still getting my period along with that as well. had the bleeding for 2 months... just had a dr appt and ultrasound and dr called to say i had a hemorrhagic cyst... watching to see it if will go away on it's own this next cycle. hoping that it does and that this doesn't interfere with ttc.
