I discovered I was pregnant in May (unplanned).
I have recurrent acute pancreatitis, so I'm on a few medications, none of which are good for a baby. As soon as I discovered I was pregnant, I started the uncomfortable process of coming off of them all.
At 7 weeks, my baby stopped growing and lost it's heartbeat. I can't help but think it's because of the medications.
The medications I'm on aren't super extreme: tramadol and adderol. But withdrawal wasn't fun. I need the medication for a reason. Without it, all I could do was lay in bed. I had to quit my job to continue the pregnancy. The doctor offered methodone instead of tramadol, but I obviously refused.
So now I'm terrified of trying again. I'm afraid of having to come off all the medication and become a couch potato for 9 months only to lose another baby.
Does anyone else have any experience TTC while on medications that shouldn't be used during pregnancy?
