I was wondering if someone would be able to give me some advice or their opinion please?

Well me and the other half are starting to think of ideas or ways in which we could start a family and be stable still. We not decided what year we would like a baby to arrive yet but we have decided on the months we would like a baby to arrive, would wouldn't mind if a baby arrived outside these months but it would help us all out and be easier in the those months because my other half will be more able to take time off and help me out when I need him most especially in the first so many months a baby is at home. You see he is self employed with his brother as a delivery driver and they deliver coal and wood and other products so In the winter time he is more busy and his brother will not be ale to do the job on his own during this time, so my OH wouldn't be able to help out as much as he gone about 5am and doesn't return until he's has done his job which can be anything from 7pm onwards. Where In the summer his work is not as busy and his brother can mange on his own for a while.

Anyway my question are rather silly really But we would like a baby to arrive between February and September so would anyone have any ideas on how would time it for a baby to arrive those months?

Also with me having pcos we may have to try natural for a while first. Is there any good herbals or vitamins anyone could recommend that have good reviews?

Also I am thinking on getting back on metformin after finishing my last strip of the pill because this may help me with my pcos too as I have had it before at 1500mg a day and I lost some weight and my periods became more regular.

Anyone have any advice or answers thank you for listening :flower:

My honset opinion you cant really time when having a baby esp with you having pcos it could take a while sweatiexxx

Thank you for your reply.

My sister has also been diagnosed with PCOS and has been taking norethisterone for about 3 months and is now 5 weeks pregnant! Only she tells me she has not used norethisterone for fertility treatment and it was a complete natural surprise.

I got pregnant my first month trying. If you're really set on that time frame, give it all you got 9 months before those dates. Just know it could take a long time with restricting yourself like that.

I have PCOS and we decided to start trying in August....needless to say we are still trying...It would be very hard for you to time a pregnancy with PCOS. I took it for granted, never thinking it would take us long to conceive. I was wrong. I recommend Vitex highly as a supplement, it helped me regulate my periods and got me ovulating quickly. I also take metformin and synthroid for my hypothyroid.

I don't know what to do... Its hard because of the job my OH is in as he is self employed. Because November December and January are his peak times he may not be able to take any time if any off to help me so much with a new baby as his brother would not get the job done in one day alone, which are income would be affected. He says that if a baby happens to arrive in these 3 months we will have to try and sort something else out somehow.. Like maybe only be able to stay at home all day for a few days a week, so less than the other months but better I suppose.

My PCOS frightens me. I want to get an appointment to see my Gynaecologist for March/April if I can to have a check up and see if everything is okay with us both otherwise before we start in May/June. Im scared I will never do this... I should be excited but im not yet....

You can google ovulation calendars and they will give you the best times to 'try' for the months you want...however, with PCOS i wouldn't wait, I know you are scared, the truth is some people with PCOS can still get pregnant relatively easy, however most have a little bit of a struggle. I have PCOS (but I was ovulating) and only got pregnant with clomid.

I would just talk to your doctor; PCOS is so different for each person with it, it's hard to say. I have friends with PCOS who have no problems with fertility at all; and then there's people like me with PCOS who for 10 years I was told I would never get pregnant ever.

So, I would definitely just talk to your doctor. They'll be able to do ultrasounds on your ovaries and see how your follicles look and see if you ovulating or not, and go from there.

Personally it took me 2 years to conceive with PCOS. But i conceived while on Letrozole. This was prescribed to me for 6 months, although i do ovulate on my own they gave me this to try, and the plan was that i'd ovulate the same time each month and be able to pin point ovulation easier. Maybe its something to ask your DR about, though I dont know if it is given out easily, think it depends on individual circumstances

Hi, I have PCOS too and took a long time to conceive my first with a lot of help from the specialist.

I just wanted to mention that my husband went overseas for weeks when my DS was only 6 weeks old and I didn't find this difficult. Just my opinion but I have found the first few months to be the easiest and I needed my DH around more later on to help!

We would like to try so we can have a baby in 2015, 2016 or 2017 and onwards if you know what I mean? We would like to start so a baby would arrive 2015 earliest, and carry on until we are lucky enough to be given the chance. So its only a few months to wait before starting, Im still on the pill and have about 8 days left on it then im going to come off. When AF arrives I want to go see my doctor and see if I can get metformin again as this helped a bit last time. And try to get an appointment with my Gynaecologist before we start.

I just don't feel very positive about it yet because of PCOS and I have tried naturally before with vitamins and couldn't conceive. So im worried

Look at the positive; if PCOS is your only issue and that's the only thing preventing you from getting pregnant right now -- you shouldn't have a hard time getting pregnant with medical assistance. Doctors can work around PCOS very easily these days.

I would have LOVED for PCOS to be the only problem I had haha I would have been pregnant years ago had it been! All it would have taken is 1-round of Femara and I would have been fine.

So don't be super upset; PCOS is not the end all when it comes to infertility anymore. Doctors are finally paying attention to it and they're able to reverse symptoms and fix the problem :) So have faith, if you find the right doctor they will get you fixed up :)
