Hello ladies

So here I am just been told I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome.
And what's even worse is they found out I had it over a year ago and never even told me !! I never got my results from the doctors ! Very upset about that I've been ttc #1 for 10 months now. It explains alot. So thw doctor told me that I should try for my children now which I am doing I'm having an ultrasound d scan to see what's what.

Just was wondering if any ladies have pcos and if they could share there stories / experience with pcos and ttc. Symptoms ect. Had a little cry the other day but remaining positive.

Thanks ladies lots of baby dust

I found out just over a week ago that I have pcos and they are both very bulky... Literally know nothing more apart from I'm overweight have hair on my face I wish I didn't, (bearded lady springs to mind lol) and my periods are normally every 35 days ish.... This being said, I only found out at my scan that also dated me at 7 1/2 weeks pregnant!! So, although I don't know at this time much about pcos I'm just writing to say it isn't impossible to conceive.... Good luck
H xx

Just wanted to say that I have PCOS. Tried to conceive for over a year with no luck. Then suddenly got pregnant. Did do acupuncture the month we conceived. Did not do anything else different that month. Good luck and know it can happen. I remember sitting on this site before getting pregnant thinking that it would never happened then suddenly we were pregnant and now I'm looking at my little 6 week old baby. Best of luck!

Just wondering did you change your diet at all I've been reading things about it with pcos. I absolutely love coffee I have 1 cup a to 2 cups a day but trying to be good and drinks some herbal teas. I'm taking folic acid now. Wish you all the best with your new baby xx

Willowtree24, I'm in your exact same boat. I was just officially diagnosed about 3 weeks ago after TTC unsuccessfully for a year (really upset my OBGYN didn't even think to say that my regular, 40 day cycles meant I wasn't even ovulating). My OBGYN referred me to a fertility specialist that I just had my second appointment with today. I have taken one round of Letrozole and see the doctor again Monday so she can tell me whether my DH and I are allowed to BD... I know the Letrozole worked (made me ovulate) but she saw 4 eggs trying to be the dominant one, and for obvious reasons, DH and I aren't interested in the possibility of quads or more!
PCOS is such a weird thing and so different in every one. My sister got pregnant without help and she has terrible PCOS (went a whole year without a period, etc.) but after 2.5 years of trying without assistance and being on a progesterone supplement, she just had a healthy baby boy a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I'm the impatient sister and can't imagine waiting years to finally get my turn so DH and I sought help.

Yeah I found out about 3 weeks ago too. It made sense I've been not using contraception since June 2014 though I did miscarry 25/12/14. I suspected as I was 2 weeks late and then worst af I've ever had followed. Do you take any supliments too? I'm taking folic acid every day read it gives you better chance I'm yet to go to my doc and see what next plan of action is.

I'm taking folic acid daily, too :) I got a thumbs up to BD from by fertility doctor. The 4 follicles turned into 2 and that's the magic number that she'll allow her patients to use. Currently in the TWW... Trying to stay positive, busy, and not think about it too much! Hope you're getting the answers you need from your docs!

I had PCOS. I couldn't conceive on my own. I took Clomid first round 50mg. No luck. Second round 100mg got pregnant. Perfect pregnancy and labor and birth and I now have a 1 year old! I don't have any signs or symptoms of PCOS now after having been pregnant. So that's awesome news. Trying for #2 pretty soon. Clomid was seriously the magic pill for me. I didnt used to ovulate until I cut out all dairy and wheat from my diet (weird I know). Then I started ovulating on my own but I still wasnt getting pregnant. Was only TTC for 4 months. Was not interested in waiting around. So clomid was the answer for me.

That's great jadza! So they put you on clomid when you've been trying for a few months. This is my 12th cycle a year for me so far. Brilliant news it's really good to hear ! I will be pregnant in no time hopefully lol. Good luck with ttc baby number 2

Yes because I was medically diagnosed with PCOS my Doctor had just asked how quickly I wanted to get pregnant. I said ASAP so he just gave me the Clomid. :) best of luck
