Turmeric Powder and Fertility

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any information on turmeric powder and how it affects TTC and fertility? We have been TTC for 3 years now (unexplained infertility) withave no luck. My sister made me some "golden paste" (turmeric powder [which seems to be all the rage now, for health benefits], coconut oil, water and black pepper) for energy (nothing to do with TTC) and I've been taking it for 2 weeks now (1/4 tsp a day). I feel amazing, lots of energy, but after doing more research online, I found a lot of conflicting info on taking turmeric powder while TTC. I've even read that it used to be used as a contraceptive! I'm really worried I've ruined our chances this month by taking it. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

Turmeric is very good for y ou, amazing antioxydant. Mix it with freshly ground black pepper and you've got a super antioxydant!! I put this on my eggs and it's sooooo good!!! But I don't see how it could affect your fertility. Honnestly I think we put way too much thought into this. I was eating super healthy and miscarried twice. With DD1 my first trimester consisted of white bread and corn flakes because it's the only thing my stomach could handle. And pregnancy went smoothly. I know you feel powerless but go with what you like. Obviously eating healthy is super important, but don't make it an obsession and don't feel guilty for the glass of wine or that double espresso😉. On a side note I remember green tea helping me getting lots of EWCM...

I've been taking a new supplement my autoimmune re manufactured that has turmeric and have also read about it being a contraceptive and almost dropped my phone in my coffee when I read that.. But I highly doubt he would put that into a supplement for women who are TTC! Ugh the Internet... Lol
