I was gona have Esme for dd but found Eden instead! Iv never seen twilight just loved the name! My friend called her little boy Jacob as she's a massive fan! x

If we're having a girl we're going for Isabella, Though it will be Izzy for shout not Bella, this is due to Izzy in the city of bones book, and I love the name mainly beacuse of belle from beauty and the beast, But the twilight books helped. I'm a huge twilight fan (only the books obviously) and actualy have all the first edition twilight book (as Im from teh uk my twilight copy isn't even of the apple it's a whole different cover). I even have a twilight tattoo. I think however my baby may grow up to hate me a little if i name her after it exactly, hence Izzy.

thats awesome to have the first editions i do love the books also not so much the movies but i dont think she would despise you once she is old enough to read them i think shell love em

Oh...outside of marvel and car names, I also like Landon. Not everyone likes this name for some reason but to each their own.

Landon would be a cool name if it wasn't the exact way you say London in a cocky accent lol.

I know SO many girls called Isabelle now, I mean it seems to be literally 50/50 with Lily where I live, which is a shame as Lily was the name i'd had picked out since I was a teenager.

I know 1 little girl called Ezme, her original name was going to be Izabelle lol.

My little nephew that was stillborn was named Taylor. My cousin is Isabelle (Izzy)

Wonder if there will be any babies called Sookie lol.

I'm a huge bookworm and so is the OH so we already know that the baby is going to be named after some character or another. I'm trying for Eragon and he's pushing for Pippin right now! Sirius and Clary were also on the table. I guess we’ve all got a little while to go before anything definite has to be decided.

I love esme, I think I heard somebody in mothercare on about bella from twilight and that's what she had named her daughter? I have to be THE only person who has not read or watched any of the twilight series which is odd because I'm a huge vampire, witch, werewolf, zombie film lover!

The thing is everyone names there baby after something they heard or read or saw on tv. We are naming our son Samuel after Transformers. And we are naming our daughter Kensi after a character on the show NCIS LA. So it all boils down to being one day being confident and proud enough to tell them where you got their name from. My name is Carly, after the singer Carly Simon from the 70's. And my husbands name is Michael Adam after his great grandfather Adam Michael. So some names have great meaning and others dont. As long as you love their name thats all that matters. We have finally agreed on the middle name William for Samuel after my great uncle billy. So now we have to come up with a middle name for Kensi and all I have that I like is Alexis and Morgan and niether of them have any meaning, I just like how they sound with Kensi. So I am trying to dig deeper. Any suggestions would be welcome. The only names I am agaisnt are rae, ann, joy, hope, and faith.

When I was in a shop the other day, a woman called her baby Cullen. Wonder if she got that from Twilight?

Another thing we all need to keep in mind is when our children get older the twilight series isn't going to be very popular anymore. Very few other children will understand where that name came from. When my mom was my age the book series that was comparable to twilight was flowers in the attic. No one talks about those books anymore. Just like one day no one will talk about the twilight series anymore. So I definately think it is ok to name your child after a character.

The names that we like are Cullen and Jacob and we are huge Twilight fans but I'm not sure that is why we like the names - they just seem to be the only names that myself and hubbie agree on. We went for a holiday in the north of Scotland in April and we stayed at a cottage just outside of a village called Cullen and that cemented the fact that we loved the name Cullen in our minds. I am sure that our boy will be called Cullen.
