Two New Names - Need your opinions!

I told you all that my favourite names were either Eva or Selina for a girl and Lucas for a boy.

My husband just said that he likes the names:

Violet - Girl

Tristan - For a Boy

What are your opinions on them? They were on my list and I like them but wanting to hear other people's thoughts

I am starting to hear that a bit more in the US.

Yea, Violet is becoming common but it still is a very pretty name! And I love Tristan! It was on my list but DH doesn't care for it I definitely don't know any Tristans!!!!!! so it's very unique yet valid and real name, and very masculine IMO.

Love them both! Tristan is a popular name here in TX. Still one of my faves! I don't personally know a Violet but love the name!! Too Cute!!

I think Eva and Violet are both very pretty names! I personally don't really care for Tristan and prefer Lucas x

Violet is nice, I like the name Tristan but discovered it means 'sorrow' which put me off adding it to my short list. x

I LOVE Eva & Violet -- and agree with other poster that "Eva Violet" sounds really pretty together!

I also LOVE the name Tristan & i have actually been trying to sell this name to OH this past week! Not so keen on Lucas, tho -- but "Tristan Lucas" sounds nice?? Very masculine!
