Hi everyone,

Sorry for tmi but - since having your babies - does anyone else find that you have to 'strain' when trying to go to the toilet?

If I don't strain... nothing happens!!! (It's *there* - but it feels like it's too large to go through my bottom!)

Sorry again for tmi, but anyone else?

Ugh!!! :(

I just gave birth almost two weeks ago, so if I forget to take my stool softeners 2xs a day, my 6 fiber jellies and eat fiber enriched food, I have the hardest and largest and most painful stool ever. I feel like its a handful of MNM's that are clumped together, trying to all exit at once. Ugh!

My little squish is 5 weeks old and I still have this. It's like I have no energy to push, no matter how hard I try! I take lactulose but it's not helping.

You need to eat more fibre (prunes are my fave cos it only takes 2 or 3 a day to get me going) and it will take a few weeks for your pelvic floor muscles to start building up strength and react normally again.

I am seeing a physic for a rectocele and she has advised me to sit slightly leaning forward on the toilet and use my tum muscles to push my tummy out on my legs to ensure I am not pushing down which does *not* help your pelvic floor recover.
