Uk ladies, can i take my son out of school??

Just ring the school on the morning and tell them your son isn't well so you are taking him to the doctors and keeping him off for the day :flow:

I wouldn't even bother lying about it. It's her child. I'd just tell them the reason why she wants him out of school for a day or two. It's not like it's not for a good reason. :baby:

 I thought you could get fined if it wasn't for an actual reason like sickness or a family holiday?
What do I know though, I'm not that far yet :haha:

I remember when I was younger my mums friend came to take me to go to school and as my mum was at the unit delivering my sister I kicked up such a fuss and Nan let me stay home in the end. As far as I am aware you have to ask them permission but I would just phone in saying he was ill or something. I hate this PC world we live in now where everything has to be processed 2000000 times when common sense says yes, let the mother take her son out of school straight away.

I'm a teacher and even I think that this is a good idea!

Me too, I'm a teacher and I think they'd be absolutely fine with it...worst case scenario you might have to write it on a holiday form but parents from my school take kids out for their own drs appts etc if there's no-one else to look after them so I can't see in official terms that it's very different.

Again if they say no, you could lie and say your child is poorly or...it's not the end of the world to tell the truth and have ONE unauthorised absence :) it won't hurt but I reckon they'd be absolutely fine! X
