UK ladies, did you have a midwife with you in the room all the time?

Mine kept popping in and out which to be honest I really didn't mind as I got to share the experience more with DH one to one

I had a midwife with me the whole time. I think it's because I was in the MLU and as soon as we arrived I hopped in the birthing pool and didn't get back out again until after delivery.

I did but I was border line Pre-eclampsia and developed an infection so my BP, temp and heart rate were through the roof. That coupled with Ollie's heart rate dropping meant I had 2 midwives at all times plus a consultant popping in frequently.
