In pictures on FB and whatnot and for what I'm assuming are your Hen nights, I always see the brides to be wearing a sign with the letter "L" on it. I've never seen it before, what does it mean? :haha:

The 'L' plates are symbolic of the fact that the Hen is a 'learner' at marriage and is basically new to the whole thing.

That's so cute! :cloud9:

Where did the tradition start from? We don't do anything like that over here. :haha:

i had never really thought about it hahaha but yes i wore a L on my bum and a leopard print garter belt. the picture on my profile is actualy of me on my hen night haha

I'm not 100% but I got told it started years ago when everyone was big on the no sex before marriage thing. So the L is like saying they are a learner in marriage and in sex etc

Hope that makes sense xx

I have no idea - the L plates are used to signify learner drivers usually. I think it was just adopted as a hen tradition that the bride was a learner wife x

I didn't know about it either till my friend who I drove with to my hen said "I wish I bought you "L" plates" and then my other friend had bought me one!! xx

I had one on the back of my veil. Traditionally, we're still meant to be virgins so it signifies learner to love and relationship/ marriage etc x

Last night for me :haha:

last night was a saucy session

Since I've lost the weight, Uni has broken up for summer and to relieve wedding stress we seem to enjoy it more often!

Maybe I shouldn't be sharing this  :flasher:

I think we where them here because when your a learner driver you wear them, so i guess it comes from that? :haha:
