do we get our HCG levels' taken automatically? or do they not bother?

I have no reason to be paranoid/ worried as I'm so early on and there's been nothing to worry me etc I'm just a nervous nelly as oh likes to call me :haha:

as far as im aware they dont get taken unless there is need :) x

As far as I know they don't routinely check out hcg over here. Unless there is a problem I don't think they bother but I could be wrong? X

okii thanks ladies, I'm being stupid and freaking myself out for noe reason at all! lol

thing's keep going through my mind :

what if my levels aren't rising
miscarriage
ectopic etc . . .

is this normal for everyone? or am I a freak! :haha:

They don't unless you have a threat of miscarriage or bleed etc I don't think. I think it's because it would cost the NHS so much money to do so xx

You're not a freak love. With my first I was a nervous wreck. I'm a little more relaxed this time x

haha can you tell it's my first? :haha: >.<

yeh some day's I'm fine, then it get's later on in the day and I get nervous, it's so silly really, isn't it?! hehe

thanks lovely :)

It's a natural reaction Hun. Your body is going through massive change, you desperately want to hold a baby in your arms in 9 months time and we know that sometimes things don't work out like that. Just try and stay positive and enjoy the experience x

I think, really, since I joined this site, there has been so many unlucky ladies on here that I begin to think I'm going to be one of those, where as before BnB I never really thought about it!
I'm already so in love with this baby that it just scares me!!
at the same time, this site provides so many answers and comfort for a lot of people, I don't think I could never come on it! haha
I try to not read anything negative atm, because obviously the added worry isn't going to help!

thank's though, It's good to know I'm not the only one who gets like this!

Just think how many babies are born every year. ALOT! Positive thoughts, positive thoughts lol :hugs:

I've been exactly the same! Googling every little symptom/lack of symptom/twinge lol its normal to feel like the worst will happen I a pessamist at the best of times! I'm just trying to keep busy and look forward to little goals like first dr app first midwife and every week your further along your less likely to have anything bad happen! Goodluck hun and try to enjoy it impossible as it seems xx

thats true, there are ALOT of babies born each day! hehe

I'm a pessimist too .. . a big one! LOL

I was adamant I would have issues with TTC too . . . but we caught pg on our first month trying 2nd month with ntnp, so I know I need to chill out!!

thats a good idea actually, my next goal is the first midwifes appointment on the 30th!!!

thanks ladies :hugs:

I never had mine taken until I had spotting. They tend to only take them if it is too early to scan for a viable pregnancy

my MW told me not to read anything from american sites because it tends to give conflicting advice ( and lets be realistic pregnancy is buisness there you have to pay for every little thing) so stick to uk sites for info
.ps not meaning to offend anyone in america we just tend to do things pretty differently.

I really do agree, I think because you're paying for it over their, they tend to do every little test, which worries ladies!!

UK site's only from now on! :haha:
