I'm due to have baby #2 in 11 weeks and I'm going through all my daughter's old clothes and they are stained so badly from formula! I used Cow and Gate and Tommy tippee bottles with DD #1. It seemed like she always got formula all over her. Do you think it is because we used to wrong bottles? Or does Cow and Gate stain more than others? Do all formulas stain clothes?

We used cow and gate and didnt find that it stained clothes, but then DD2 almost never sicked up her milk. We use fairy washing powder. xxx

try adding vanish into the wash :) we use aptamil first milk and haven't had problems with stained clothing. we use fairy detergent too.

Cow and Gate and Fairy washers here - no stained clothes :)

We didnt have stained clothes but we always used bibs and vanish.

I use aptimil and find it stains in large quantities like on bibs. I just wash my bibs at 50c and that gets rid of most of it. I wash in sur care though due to my sons eczema so it might not be as strong as regular powders x

Thanks ladies! I think I will try vanish next time and wash at a higher temperature!

SMA gold has never stained either xxx

we used sma to begin with and it washed out fine, but switched to cow & gate and it's staining like hell! glad to know it's not just my washing machine going coo coo :haha:

I started my son off on Cow & Gate with Closer To Nature bottles and can't really say his clothes stained, and he was a very sicky baby. The only milk i have seen stain was Nutricia Infitrini (prescribed milk). I used Fairy non-bio x
